A microcosm of London's shifting ethnic patterns, the area around Brick Lane in East London was once associated with poor slums and the scene of the crime for the Jack the Ripper murders. Whilst the notorious pub Ten Bells still stands, the area itself is now extremely popular with London’s edgy and artistic crowd, featuring galleries, restaurants, markets and festivals throughout the year.
The Old Truman Brewery at 91 Brick Lane houses a vibrant market where up-and-coming designers set up shop every Sunday selling a unique variety of clothes, handbags and jewellery. There are also vintage clothing stores and chic boutiques dotted around the area.
As a hub of London's Bangladeshi community, Brick Lane has always been famed for its many authentic curry restaurants. It now also has a reputation for its warehouse art exhibitions and trendy clubs and bars. So, before your East London experience is complete, be sure to head to the Vibe Bars beer garden or 93 Feet East (150 Brick Lane) which has become an East End institution well known for its eclectic mix of live music and intimate atmosphere.
A really vibrant area with so much to do when you are not busy out there shopping.

The location was fine. Otherwise we hated the room. One of two bathrooms was not working. We didn´t have any light or be able to find any light bulb to change with. The walls are thin as ice, and if you live in the room on the groundfloor (the "red room") it is situated just next to the kitchen. The room was loud and we stayed there as little as possible.
If you just want to live cheap and don´t care about loudness in the rooms next to yours and you like to have only about 25 min by underground to the middle of London, then this is the place for you. Otherwise stay away and be able to sleep and cook in an other place in the great city of London.

Ziemlich City nah. Nette Mitbewohner. Das Haus sieht von außen aus wie eine Müllhalde.

It was a swindle!!!!!!!!!!......we booked the apartment, we pay for it and nobody was there..... We had to book another thing and pay extra money for it apart from the apartment that we did not have.
