An ideal holiday home for the whole family, fully equipped, main bedroom, loft bedrooms, with unsurpassed views, nestled between the rugged slopes of the Steenbras Mountain and the aqua blue Indian Ocean at Gordon's Bay, being the premier seaside resort of False Bay.
This self-catering home is situated in Suikerbossie Drive, directly above one of the most scenic coastal routes in South Africa. We are 40 minutes drive from Cape Town International and in close proximity of Stellenbosch Winelands & the Helderberg / Hottentots-Holland Mountain ranges.
The village is a charming fusion of historic Cape and modern architecture with an old fish harbour and yacht marina. The beachfront is lined with amazing views over False Bay, Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula.
Main bedroom with kingsize bed, en-suite with a victorian bath.
A second bedroom with 2 single beds, 2nd bathroom with shower.
Loft room with 2 single beds (or 4 single beds) - ideal for children / young adults
The Lodge ideally accomodates up to 6 persons.
2010 World Cup Accomodation:
If a group booking of 10 persons are required, the flatlet (sleeps 4 persons) under house is included.
Fully equipped kitchen. Linen, towels and beach towels are provided.
Access to Wine cellar and Gym on request.
Area & Activities:
We are only a stone's throw away from the Gordon's Bay beaches, which offer safe and warm waters for bathing, wind surfing, water skiing, yachting and fishing spots. For the more adventurous hang gliding and cliff jumping. For the golfer there are more than enough courses of excellent standard.
During the months of May to November we are visited by the Southern Right Whales right on our doorstep and the dolphins are never far away.
We are 48km from Cape Town, centrally situated to visit the Waterfront, Robben Island, local townships, the world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens, Garden Route and scenic drives to Hermanus, Cape Point and Agulhas, the most southern town on the African continent
The area is rich in Fynbos and has been declared an International Biosphere
