Apartments in Biarritz in Belle Epoque houses
Biarritz has an eventful history. In the Middle Ages, the town on the Bay of Biscay was known as a whaling port, but when the whales were exterminated in the large bay, the village fell into a twilight sleep until the middle of the 19th century, when Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoleon III, fell in love with the town and had a residence built on the enchanting coast. Aristocrats and wealthy people from Paris followed her and it was considered chic to have private accommodation in Biarritz. The Belle Epoque was a glorious time for Biarritz and even today you will discover beautiful houses from that time while walking through the streets. With a bit of luck you will find a charming apartment in Biarritz in the hilly old town, in one of the magnificent old villas. You prefer a modern ambience? Have a look at our offers, you will surely discover a holiday accommodation according to your taste!

A tour along the French West Coast
A trip along the Atlantic coast is interesting and varied. You could start your tour for example at the Basque coast in Spain. A private holiday apartment in San Sebastian is the ideal starting point to discover the Basque city, famous for its excellent cuisine. We continue towards France, where instead of couchsurfing in Biarritz, you should opt for private accommodation. This will allow you to move freely in your holiday home during your beach holiday and still have contact with the locals. By car you can quickly head north. Everywhere beautiful beaches and idyllic fishing villages lure you to stay. For another, longer stay it is worthwhile to rent a private holiday apartment in Soulac-sur-Mer. This is the name of the northernmost seaside resort on the Aquitaine coast, which is also very popular with bathers and has famous sights.

The flat is more of a studio or a beach cottage, with its one room, a tiny bathroom and kitchen. It has been recently renovated and is furnished and decorated in a very smart and tasteful way. The bed is a fold-away bed who is just about big enough to sleep two. In the kitchen you will find everything you need, including a microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine. The sea view from the communal terrace is gorgeous and there is a bus stop right in front of the house. The street noise might be a bit annoying for people with a light sleep, though. Definitely recommendable!Janine reviewed Appartement Biarritz in Biarritz
