LO.VE COLOSSEUM (38 Via Capo d’Africa)
100 meters from the Colosseum, this beautiful newly refurbished apartment is located in the most ancient and distinctive part of Rome, on the 2 floor of an elegant, quiet 18th-century building, recently renovated.
A walk along the nearby Via dei Fori Imperiali will lead to all the major historic sites: Piazza Venezia, the Bocca della Verità, the Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori, and across the river to the Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican Museums.
Another walk leads to the Trevi Fountain, the beautiful Spanish Steps and the shopping area of Via del Corso.
It’s easy to reach the Testaccio and Trastevere neighborhoods, the first famous for its tasty trattorias, disco pubs and the Porta Portese market (open only on Sundays), the second for its narrow streets, full of restaurants and small shops open until late at night.
The area around the apartment has lots of trattorias, pizzerias, and high-class restaurants where you can taste typical Roman cuisine, and cafés and wine bars where you can have a drink at the end of a day spent admiring the wonders of Rome, set against the background of the Colosseum at sunset...
Within walking distance you can find banks, grocery stores, bakeries and supermarkets, an open-air market where you can buy fresh vegetables and fruit, and various shops.
To make your stay even more pleasant, you’ll be only a short distance from the gardens of Villa Celimontana, a summer site for open-air jazz concerts and movie screenings, with easy access to other parks and pleasant strolling areas.
The apartment is well-placed for public transportation, with the Colosseum Metro stop nearby, and easy connections to Termini and Ostiense railroad stations.
On request, when you make your reservation, we can provide a comfortable private car service to take you to and from Rome’s airports and railroad stations, and any other destination you seek, either within the city or beyond its walls.

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough- it was pristine, yet homely, very comfortable (memory foam mattress) and well appointed with everything you could imagine needing from a holiday let. Every last detail was thought through- from the quietly-closing drawers, to the amazing monsoon shower, hidden cupboards, all the kitchen equipment you could need, and even a manual for your stay with recipe ideas and maps showing restaurants and sites local to the apartment. It is a stone's throw from the colosseum and fantastic value. I wish I could live there all year round! Cris was a great host- really helpful and friendly. Thank you! From Imogen, Alison and Ros

The most beautiful, clean and best equipped apartment we´ve ever been too. Calm area behind the colosseum with nice restaurants in all price ranges around. Most sights in walking distance.
Travel to Rome in winter! We had beautiful sightseeing weather (in february) no big crowds, cheaper prices and relaxed people.

I always get suspicious when a place or host gets only great revieuws. But there is really nothing bad to say about this appartnment. Nice and quiet. Which is importent for us because we are both light sleepers. Close to metro and bus and sights. We walked almost everything. Lots of restaurants and supermarket nearby. The bed is large and very comfy in a well decorated room. There are a lot of supplies in the kitchen. So check before you go shopping.
This was our third time in Rome, and this was the best appartment wie had. Like to come back.
