The bedroom is luxurious and comfortable, well lit, dry, and warm. The skylight fills the flat with plenty natural light. In a city where wifi can be difficult to find and co-working spaces can be crowded, find sanctuary here. The house is minimal, on purpose, to keep the mind clear and to make space for body movement. You can practice yoga, dance, or stretch on the beautiful wooden floors.
You can walk to one of the many local cafes to grab a meal, or pop over to the famers market and grab some veggies to cook in the open kitchen. There is also a low sitting table for you to work on with your computer.
You will have access to wifi and you can use the table to work from. The kitchen is available for you to use (vegetarian food only please). Help yourself to some of the quality coffee and teas.
The main room is shared in the house, this includes the Yoga space, table, lounge area, and kitchen. The bathroom and shower is also shared. You can use the eco-soaps and eco-shampoo provided in the shower. You will have access to yoga mats so you can utilize the Yoga space. Also, hula hoops, poi, and juggling balls are available for you to use and practice. I am a yoga teacher, so feel free to ask for a private instruction.
Interaction with Guests
Expect to see us around. We work from home at times, our office and bedroom are upstairs, and also spend time practicing AcroYoga with friends. Communal meals are a thing, if you would like to join us for dinners or lunches don't hesitate to ask. I promise I'm a good cook ;)
This neighborhood is the best neighborhood in Wellington. Walk outside the door and immediately be at the top of Cuba Street. Cuba st. is the "charm" of downtown Wellington, it is a walking street with plenty of shops, cafes, and life. You can really feel the culture of Wellington. Everything is honestly within walking distance, in a short walk you can be at the bay viewing the water from the harbor or beach. All bars and Nightlife in Wellington are a short walkaway too, located on Cuba Street, and Courtenay Place.
The nature is stunning in the area, walk less than 10 minutes and you can find yourself tramping in Central Park. Or walk 15 minutes the other direction and find yourself at the water front. I recommend walking to the botanical gardens or up to Zealandia to experience the beautiful nature that exists just outside the dense city of Wellington.
There is ample public transportation around in the area. But why would you need it? You can easily walk everywhere that you would want to go from this location.
Other Things to Note
If you have a car and need to park it, there is ample coupon parking outside the flat (free on weekends and nights and holidays, or $7.50 a day)
- Washing machine
