The city of Glasgow is located in western Scotland, and it has the honour of being the most populated conurbation in the country. Situated on the banks of the River Clyde, Glasgow has a rich and illustrious history of industry, science and innovation. The city is currently undergoing an astonishing transformation from a European industrial heartland to a thriving centre of finance – second only to London in the UK. Despite the industrial decline that has afflicted this great city, Glasgow still hosts shipbuilding and heavy industry, and that makes it almost unique within the British Isles. A holiday apartment in Glasgow will provide you with all the creature comforts of home for the duration of your visit to Scotland’s largest city.
Holiday Apartments in Glasgow Can Enhance Your Vacation Experience
The city of Glasgow has a long-standing association with science and the arts, and there are dozens of museums and galleries to explore. Perhaps the most famous gallery in the city is the Burrell Collection. Over 9,000 individual works of art are housed in a purpose-built facility. The museum takes its name from the Glaswegian benefactor who bequeathed his entire collection of art so that the whole city could enjoy it. Contemporary works can be found in the Gallery of Modern Art at Royal Exchange Square, and the Glasgow Police Museum is home to several fascinating exhibits and artefacts that chart the history of Glaswegian law enforcement since the 18th century. Meanwhile, a dazzling array of interactive exhibits and scientific displays can be enjoyed at the Glasgow Science Centre – which also features a an IMAX cinema and the Glasgow Tower. Renting your very own holiday apartment in Candleriggs will mean you can enjoy the luxury, comfort and modern facilities you left behind at home.
Holiday Accommodation in Glasgow Immerses You in Local Life
Whilst there is no doubting that Glasgow is a city that has its roots firmly in industry and innovation, the city is home to some beautiful areas of greenery. Bellahouston Park is a fantastic place to take a stroll away from the hustle and bustle of modern city living. The Botanic Gardens can be found in the West End district of the city, and they contain exotic flora from every continent on earth. However, perhaps the busiest and most vibrant park in the city is the renowned Glasgow Green. As well as a collection of monuments, statues and a memorial to Admiral Nelson, the park often plays host to open-air music concerts and festivals. If you’re interested in Glasgow’s great tradition of architectural prowess, Glasgow Cathedral and The City Chambers are well worth a place on your itinerary.

We would highly recommend this place as the location is excellent. Easy access to the Main Street for shops, plenty of places to eat and get something to drink, but also a very quiet location, peaceful and relaxing.
