Located on the southwestern edge of the protected area of the Peneda Geres National Park, in the village of Vilarinho of Terras de Bouro’s municipality, this house has the characteristic of being inserted into massives rocks, holding a breathtaking view into the Cávado’s river valley enabling to have a unique surrounding landscaping and aesthetic comfort.
Located in the same rural community as Vilarinho’s Villa, you can visit several monuments of architectural excellence, a few kilometers from home, such as the Sanctuary da Nossa Senhora da Abadia, with origins among the century VII and VIII, and the Monastery of Santa Maria do Bouro ,
If you want to discover a little more, be sure to look for Geira - an ancient route of the Western Roman Empire which linked Bracara Augusta to Asturica - and visit the Convent of São Bento da Porta Aberta and the Porta’s Museum .
This region has a typical cuisine, from which protrude the “Papas à Sarrabulho”, Terras de Bouro’s roasted lamb, to be tasted in places quite near the house.
