Popular accommodations in Barcelona-El Fort Pienc
Barcelona rightly lays claim to being one of the coolest cities in Europe with mind-blowing architecture vying for attention with its designer restaurants, avant-garde galleries and throbbing nightlife. Famous boulevards like the Ramblas draw visitors in their thousands but it is possible to enjoy the city without feeling pushed around in the crowds. With a holiday apartment in El Fort Pius from 9flats you can stay in an elegant, tree-lined local neighbourhood that is central enough to feel the energy but removed enough to give you a peaceful night’s sleep. You also get a unique local insight into the real rhythm of the city, as you would couchsurfing in El Fort Pius but without the inconvenience of sharing.
Old town charms of a holiday apartment in El Fort Pius
9flats lets you live among a city’s real inhabitants in thousands of global destinations including accommodation in other famous party cities like holiday flats in Montreal. With a holiday home in Barcelona you can choose to party until dawn, explore the exuberant culture, laze on the beach – or go wild and do all three. One thing is certain – Barcelona will exhaust you before you exhaust all the possibilities this vibrant city offers. Start by hitting the streets below your El Fort Pius vacation home and exploring the old town quarters around the Ramblas. In places like the Gothic Quarter, La Ribera and El Raval it is still possible to escape the crowds and find tapas bars down narrow lanes that have changed little for centuries. You could also choose to stay there in a vacation home in Ciutat Vella if you fall in love with the old town.
Designer style in El Fort Pius holiday accommodation
Historic atmosphere is just a small part of what Barcelona has to offer anyone staying in a holiday apartment in El Fort Pius. The hill of Montjuic has a fortress, the 1992 Olympic stadium and some of the best art museums in the city. There is stunning architecture in the Eixample district where there are masterpieces of design that are crowned by Gaudi’s glorious Sagrada Familia church. And despite this being a thriving cosmopolitan city there are plenty of open spaces – the harbour, parks and beaches often make it hard to believe you are at the centre of a huge urban sprawl.
Walks from a Barcelona vacation home
Sample the best of Barcelona with a walk from Port Vell harbour along the marina to the restaurants of the old Barceloneta fishing quarter. The fish and seafood can be superb here, washed down with a jug of proper Spanish sangria. From there stroll on through the greenery of Parc de la Ciutadella and along the beach to the buzzy zone of Port Olímpic, well known for its lively bars and restaurants. And if Barcelona tempts you to explore more of Spain search the 9flats site for places such as holiday homes in Granada. With 9flats you’ll be comfortable wherever you are.
