Michal 5.0 01/21/2013Firstly, Irsina is wonderful! We wanted to visit Matera, but this village proved just as romantic. It's very quiet and is worth a day of wandering about, especially if sunny or foggy (we were lucky to see both!) The house is well located, and has a great panoramic view from its balcony. It is clean and organized, and although the kitchen and bath were quite small they were just enough for breakfast and a shower. Huge living room and bedroom were a serious plus. It was a little bit chilly at night (in January) despite the heaters on at full blast, but they had an ample supply of cozy blankets. A few nearby restaurants were not bad, so you won't go hungry. Great value, worth every penny. If you're an early riser you can base yourself here and visit Matera by bus with ease.

We felt at home with Francesco's family (he was abroad) and they gave us some fresh basil for our salad and were always available for any needs we had. Thanks, guys!
