Sobre Josh

As an Advertising Copywriter, Josh works on the biggest brands in the world and is the creator of such memorable work as the Visa campaign, “If like were like that, you wouldn’t need a Visa card.” In his spare time, he’s an actor, cartoonist, singer/songwriter, stand-up comedian, radio host, director and more. By client request, he starred in a couple of his own commercials as the angry Scottish Mini Man for Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Mini Granola Bites. He’s also an in-demand voice actor, known to Americans and Europeans as the voice of Dan The Chameleon for Hubba Bubba Max. His cartoon illustrations and comedic columns have run in The Ottawa Citizen. He’s a graduate of the presitigious Second City Conservatory for comedic improv, has done stand-up at Yuk Yuk’s, founded a comedy troupe and hosted 4 years of his own shows on Rogers Community Cable. He’s a sought-after MC and has hosted everything from the Ottawa Advertising Awards to the Montreal Dialogue Group’s Jewish/Arab Peace Concert. The Toronto Star devoted a half-page to his pursuits as a green comedian, such as his eco hip hop marriage proposal to environmentalist Laurie David that’s earned kudos from everyone from Ed Begley Jr. to David Suzuki and was featured on The Comedy Network. His first feature screenplay won the LA-based, international 2009 Script Showcase and his short film 3 Dates premiered in the 2010 HollyShorts Film Festival in Hollywood. He’s been a talk radio host on Toronto’s Newstalk 1010 CFRB, has appeared on the CBC Radio show “GO!”, has told his engaging personal stories on CBC Radio’s Definitely Not The Opera, and his funny, insightful movie reviews were heard Saturday mornings on Toronto’s CINA Radio 1650AM.
