Latest reviews for places in E Harlem
Very convenient location, as the express train stops at the nearby metro station (3 mins walk), grocery stores are just a few hundred metres away. The central park is just 6 blocks to the south, which is a short walk (about 8-10 mins). The shared bathroom is directly next to the room, the room itself provides enough space and the bed is really comfortable. Staying here is more like living in a shared apartment without much seeing anybody else. If you are looking for a place to "stay WITH someone", this won't suit you. On the other hand, if you prefer being independent or on your own respectively, this is your place. I was very content here and would stay here again.Martina reviewed Manhattan Cozy Room by Central Park in E Harlem
East Harlem is a district of Manhattan in New York City that is often referred to as ‘Spanish Harlem’. This vibrant area of the city has been associated with the city’s Spanish-speaking community for decades, as 19th-century immigrants from Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic made up a large percentage of the district’s permanent residents. The population is far more diverse these days, which provides visitors with a wonderful selection of customs, cuisines and cultures to immerse themselves in. A 9flats holiday home in the area is the only way you can truly become part of this incredible community.
Live a Life of Luxury with Holiday Apartments in East Harlem
Whilst East Harlem has had a long association with crime and deprivation, the neighbourhood is constantly evolving. And like many areas in New York, it has undergone a period of so-called ‘gentrification’ in recent years. One of East Harlem’s most iconic buildings is the Islamic Cultural Center on 3rd Avenue, which attracts up to 4,000 worshippers every Friday. There are also several very striking Churches in the district, including St. Nicholas’ Cathedral with its eye-catching onion domes. Located only a few blocks away is El Museo del Barrio – a stunning collection of Hispanic and Caribbean-inspired artworks which is a leading cultural institution in East Harlem. Instead of admiring these landmarks from afar, why not rent yourself private holiday accommodation in New York, so you can live in sheer luxury during your visit?
