I have owned and run Chislehurst Guest House for five years. during that time I have hosted hundreds of guests from all over the world, almost without exception they have been charming and we have made some good friends. I enjoy meeting people, and I also enjoy reading, and my guests have access to my library and I always ensure there are good books in the rooms, sometimes if I know my guest well, I put books into the rooms which I know they will enjoy. I have part ownership of an Executive Guest House nearby which is suitable for families or for a few people wanting self catering - it has three/four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room/dining room and small garden. My entire property is WiFi enabled, and guests can sit in the garden or under the lovely thatched lapa by the sparkling pool and connect to the Internet. The lapa is where we serve breakfast, weather permitting, and it also has a fully stocked bar, television and music centre, a perfect place for sundowners in the late afternoon, or a weekend braai (barbeque). I serve light lunches and dinners by request, but a delicious full English breakfast is served every day and is included in the rate.
