    The place was boarded up with plywood except the doorway. There is insulation exposed and hanging down over the doorway. Graffiti on the plywood. Looks like a very long remodel as no one worked in the front during our stay. We stayed 6 nights.

    There was a spider and roach in the bathroom and later a large centipede. Our room smelled musty--the sheets, towels, bedspread. They did change our sheets when we asked, but wouldn't let us change rooms that day. The kitchen towel was disgusting--filthy and greasy. We put it on the floor for the housekeeper to take, but she just put it back in the drawer. We just used paper towels.

    Housekeeping was very sloppy. They just pulled the bedspread over the bed, they didn't bother to make it.

    To be fair, the room itself looked to be remodeled but the bedspread was old. There was no washer or dryer as advertised either.

    PROS:
    Very good location, near downtown, just between Chinatown and Little Italy. The place is very clean and the neighborhood is super safe. There are many restaurants around.

    CONS:
    No view at all. Also, there was a weird door alarm that went on in the middle of the night and it was difficult to turn off.

    Urban Living cancelled a booking for Urban Living - Economy Studio only 2 days before arrival.

    Despite finding a spider and roach in the room and later a very large centipede, they would not let us change rooms on day 1. We had already paid for the room so had to stay 6 nights in this place.

    On day 4, I finally took the FILTHY dish towel to the front office and showed it to reception. She was not apologetic nor phased by the condition of the towel. Just asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted to talk to the manager, but of course, didn't get a call in the 2 remaining days. At checkout when I mentioned I never got a call from the manager, she just said he is very busy the last 2 days.

    HORRIBLE customer service.

    The hosts are very nice people, however, it was a little bit hard to understand their English.
