Pan American Games 26.07 - 11.08
|
Every four years, athletes from nations of the Americas participate to this major sporting event in the Americas featuring summer sports. The Pan American Games is the second most important event in the world after the Olympic Games.
In 2019, Lima will have the opportunity to gather all these cultures during the biggest multi-sport event of the continent.

Lima
The capital of Peru, Lima, with its 9 millions of habitants, is chaotic, cheerful, huge city. A melting pot of different races, cultures, smells and styles welcomes those who visit it and the city gives to the visitor very strong emotions. Other then the historic center, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, there are plenty of point of interests to be visited: Palacio Arzobispal, Catedral, Plaza de Armas. Don't miss the Barrio Chino, where you can admir plenty of churches, the casonas (large and beautiful colonial villas) and a wide range of different museums. But Lima is also the Gastronomic Capital of Latin America, so it will surely be able to conquer you with the best recipes of traditional Peruvian cuisine.

NYC US OPEN 26.08 - 08.09

The American tournament is held on the concrete courts of Flushing Meadows, in New York, and has been played on concrete since 1978. The only slam played on 3 different surfaces, but also the first to introduce night matches. The US Open have always been a land of revolution: equality of prize money for both sexes has been introduced here, here we have seen the arrival of technology. In 2018 the US Open was the richest tennis tournament in the history of tennis.

FIBA Basketball World Cup 31.08 - 15.09

The FIBA Basketball World Cup is the flagship event of the International Basketball Federation.
Since the first staging of the tournament in Buenos Aires where 10 teams did battle, the field has grown exponentially and the 2019 edition will feature a record 32 top teams from around the world.

Rugby World Cup 20.09 - 02.11

Hosted once every four years, the Rugby World Cup is rugby's centrepiece event. It is the big stage that rugby players from all over the world dream of reaching. Held over the course of seven weeks, it is the 3rd largest sports event in the world after the summer olympics and the Football World Cup.
