Who said that only the most famous tourist places are worth a visit? In Italy, from north to south, there are many lesser known but not less suggestive locations.

Some of the most beautiful beaches of the Italian Peninsula can be found in Puglia, precisely in the tourist locality that takes the name of Gargano. The spur of Puglia offers in fact a vast range of beaches and coves for all tastes, all beautiful to visit and to explore by boat or on foot.
Certainly Mattinata is one of the most interesting places in the Gargano thanks to the crystal clear waters of the sea. In an expanse of olive groves, almond trees and prickly pear creeping down towards the sea rises the very white town of Mattinata.
In the stretch of coast between Pugnochiuso and Mattinata, two imposing cliff stacks (the arch of Diomede and the Finestrella dei sogni) overhang the crystalline sea, hiding one of the most beautiful sandy bays in Puglia. It is called the Zagare bay (but it is also known as the Mergoli bay). The advice is to leave your vehicle in the Vignanotica bay parking lot. A kilometer of sand that is really worth looking for.

Lake Iseo is the catalyst for a myriad of localities in the surrounding area, which offer the visitor a vast spectrum of choices: the pyramids of Zone, the peat bogs of Sebino, Montisola, the gnome forest, Franciacorta and many others.
In particular, Franciacorta is an area famous for the production of the eponymous wine, the Franciacorta DOCG. Not only: beautiful hills, cultural and historical sites, relaxation in nature, opportunities for sports and entertainment make the Franciacorta territory a real find for many tourists who come here for the first time.
Montisola or Monte Isola is considered the pearl of Lake Iseo, a mountain on an island. A magical place, still in time, made up of fishing villages far from the chaos of the city. At the highest point of the island is the Santuario della Ceriola, from here the view leaves you speechless.

Lucignano is a medieval village located in Tuscany, located about 30 Km from Arezzo, in the Val di Chiana.
It might seem similar to many other fortified villages typical of this area of Tuscany, yet Lucignano has a particularity that makes it a must: its medieval layout has remained unchanged. The elliptical plan of the ancient castrum is immediately recognizable, as are the other concentric streets and the mighty walls.
Lucignano presents numerous testimonies of its rich past. Ranging from the Etruscan origin to the struggles between Siena and Florence for supremacy over Tuscany.
Walking through the narrow streets you can admire the stone and brick houses. The heart of the village is the Piazza del Tribunale, where the Palazzo Comunale, the Church of San Francesco and the Collegiate overlook.
Just inside the Town Hall is the Museum that houses works of art from the Middle Ages and the Tuscan Renaissance. Among these is the Golden Tree with its imposing size and rich decorations with corals, crystals, and parchment miniatures.

An excursion in the heart of Abruzzo and Molise between National Parks and Nature Reserves with a tortuous and difficult railway that crosses mountains and narrow gorges.
Starting from Sulmona at 328 meters above sea level it reaches the highest altitude of the boot with the 1,268.82 meters above sea level of the Rivisondoli-Pescocostanzo station to then descend, to Castel di Sangro at 793 meters above sea level, go up to San Pietro Avellana and then descend again at 423 meters above sea level of the Isernia station.
A spectacular track that alone is worth a trip through large and small inhabited centers where history has left numerous and valuable traces together with craft traditions still practiced today.
A journey that unites the Majella massif with its remarkable peaks and its magnificent karst plateaus with monuments, works of art and human work of these magnificent lands. It's a bit like watching a live documentary with images flowing from the train windows.
