The apartment wasn't anything like what was advertised online. It was unclean and in a poor state of repair. We found stains on the bed linen and towels, and other people's hairs in the bed, shower and drawer where the hairdryer was kept. The smoke alarm in the kitchen/diner had been disabled, which was very concerning, and there was dust and mould in all of the air conditioning and extraction vents. Overall, this was an extremely unpleasant place to stay.

Although our host visited the apartment to view and discuss our initial concerns, he suggested the hairs belonged to the cleaner, and simply arranged for new linen to be delivered the next day. This meant we had to remove the hairs ourselves and sleep in the bed as we found it on our first night. In addition, we had to purchase cleaning products to make our stay bearable, as none were provided. The absence of a welcome pack, including details of nearby shops and services, was also very disappointing. It's shocking to think our host thought this accommodation was an acceptable standard.
