the room and the living room are very airy and bright. they´re are french windows leading out to a small balcony which looks onto the church and the square. no church bells - only on sunday, when i wash´t there. the flat is very very central and there is a lovely smell of the sea/river in the air.
it is an area which not everyone might like. but it is exactly the kind of area i like and i will come again and again and again - if i may ;-) -

La chambre est très agréable et la vue magnifique. Nous avons partagé l'intégralité de son appartement et nous nous y sommes sentis "comme chez nous"

Bright, sunny room, a simple but homely style. This is a good place for people who want to spend a lot of time out exploring Lisbon as the apartment is quite small. If you want to spend a lot of time in, cook meals and party, it's not for you! Also, there are four flights of stairs, so don't take big bags as we did. The area of Lisbon is not fancy but it is interesting. It is also very convenient as a main train station is very close, as is the funicular and tram. The traditional market is nearby and a small supermarket is across the square plus there is a great modern cafe around the corner.

Very nice location with a friendly host and a shy cat. The area is fantastic: You are near the rio, can walk up to barrio alto and it is surrounded buy fancy bars/restaurants.

i could´t have asked for a more friendlier, charming or interesting host. "The best company" as Mr. Elliot said in "Persuasion". A very interesting conversational partner with lots of interesting tips and just to chat to in general. We didn't get to see a lot of each other - he was at work and i was busy being a tourist. But when we were together in the flat, I had the sense of being welcome. it added to my wonderful time in the city. and although his cat wash´t the most open-minded of cats he was very playful :-)

Pedro est vraiment attentionné et disponible . Nous avons pu partager avec lui d'excellents moments et nous espérons de tout cœur que nous le reverrons.

We didn't see Pedro much as we were out late each night. But when we left, he gave us a CD of fado music he had made! He checked we were okay but he is the type of person that lets you do you own thing. He added some nice touches with fresh flowers and water for us.
