I am from island Brac in Croatia. Even though living in Canada at the moment with my husband and 3 children, I love spending time back home every summer because the beauty of Croatia is truly remarkable. Croatian beaches, coves, culture, coastal towns, islands, Plitvice and Krka, Dubrovnik, and Korcula are all magnificent, but a place of my childhood memories, island Brac, will always hold a special place in my heart. Best stone mines, fishing, olive groves, and great vineyards, farmland, beautiful ancient monasteries, and temples, and secluded beaches are all so diverse, and amazing. Not to mention that each town on Brac is unique, and have a special flare that shows its true colors during local festivities. I love travelling, and I visited numerous places in my life: Paris, Rome, Venice, Greece and Spain, Serbia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Australia (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne), USA (Florida, Las Vegas, Los Angeles), Caribbean (Barbados, Cuba, Dominican Republic), Canada (Toronto, Niagara Falls, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Vancouver), but I can honestly say Croatia is a place I highly recommend for you to visit. I think I am not alone in my belief that Croatia's scenic beauty is undeniable; thousands of travelers visiting every year can not be wrong....And if you still do not believe me, please check the interview of Lonely Planet's founder Mr. Wheeler stating he considers Croatia to be one of the most impressive countries to visit in the world.
