About Gaja
Hi, I'm Gaja and I live in Umbria, an Italian region which is also referred to as 'The Green Heart of Italy'. I'm a psychologist and I live with my companion Gianmarco who is half Italian and half Australian and is an English teacher. We both love travelling and have visited many countries across Europe, Asia, America, Australia and Africa. We love music and art and enjoy anything from dancing, visiting museums, reading a philosophy book or just relaxing in the sun and savouring an Italian meal with some good wine (which by the way is also considered as a form of art here in Italy!). We also love tasting food from other countries and are interested in learning from people of different cultures and countries around this beautifully immense yet amazingly small world of ours. We cultivate our own organic fruit and vegetables and adore everything beautiful that nature has to offer from flowers and butterflies to seas and mountains, sunrises, sunsets and starry night skies...did I mention we love poetry?!!! We are happy to host you because it gives us the opportunity to meet new people and hopefully make new friends with whom we can share our interests. We think that hospitality is an important and essential part of life and that guests are 'sacred'. Our motto is "Host and be Hosted!".
