We are proud to be over 50 too! We have lived in NZ for 3 years, having emigrated from the UK. Michael was an engineer for 34 years, then he went back to college to study horticulture and set up his own business. He ran this very successfully for a number of years prior to emigrating to NZ. He now spends his time looking after our 21 acres, painting, playing golf and doing voluntary work at the local hospice. Chris has spent 38 years as a nurse and in nurse educaton. She was Head of Department for pre registration nurse training at a university in the UK; and Assistant Director of Education at NHS London. She now works part time as a Staff Development Nurse at the local retirement village/hospice. She enjoys walking,the gym and swimming. We both love to travel and our own experiences gave us the idea and inspiration for Swallows Ridge as somewhere we would like to stay."
