I am half greek, half german and have been born in Athens, in this very hood, where I grew up. Afterwards I lived in Germany, Italy and currently France for studies and am now working on my Phd but often coming back home, which I miss always terribly! Mets is a well-known neighborhood of Athens - just 10 minutes walk from the hubble of the city but allthesame quiet, green, safe and pieceful. It used to be an embassy area, after formerly having been the area where the king's clerks used to live. It is lively, original with neoclassic buildings, lots of green and, being a bit up the hill - with a fabulous view over the city. The ancient marble stadium, the first athenian cemetery are all things one should explore in Athens!
