We suggest you to come in this special apartment, located at the second floor of a 2 storeyed 1928 building with a out-of-time courtyard. The flavour is that of a lively countryside still being in the centre of Rome!
At the same time, the space has a good luminosity and is very quiet. It's also a really nice and pretty place to stay. San Lorenzo is central and easily connected to the city's wonders:
20 minutes to get to Termini Station.
One bus straight to the historical center (Piazza Navona, Pantheon etc.)
Ten minutes walking to Catacombe di Santa Priscilla and Catacombe di Santa Costanza.
In few meters supermarkets, cinemas, restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Japanese ).
The room you will stay in is independent, and has a door. Closing it you'll have your own intimity. There are 3 different spaces: a high ceiling room for daily life, a mezzanine with a large double bed and shelves, a private bathroom with small bath tub.
Before making a reservation please note:
- the sleeping around is planned only for 2 persons, but eventually and with a small surcharge a third one can sleep in a futon/sofa.
- Towels and sheets are supplied.
- Inclusive Wi-Fi internet.
- we are always with a smile ;) and if you have any question, we will answer you with pleasure !
ABOUT SAN LORENZO DISTRICT (from the '36 Hours in Rome' guide of the New York Times)
Not all of Rome is set in stone. For a dose of neo-realism, stroll around San Lorenzo (madeinsanlorenzo.it), a former working-class district near the Termini station that’s come alive with chic boutiques and workshops. Find handmade women’s clothing and jewelry at Myriam B. (Via dei Volsci, 75; 39-06-4436-1305; myriamb.it). Claudio Sanò (Largo degli Osci 67/A; 39-06-4469-284; claudiosano.it) makes custom bags and other leather goods, and Candle’s Store (Via dei Campani, 49; 39-06-446-4849; candlestore.it) has artisanal candles.
A handful of restaurants specialize in what Italians call “creative cuisine,” new takes on old standards. One of the newest is Pastificio San Lorenzo (Via Tiburtina, 196; 39-06-9727-3519; pastificiocerere.com), an upscale yet informal restaurant and wine bar that opened last year in a former pasta factory. Favorites include a breaded poached egg in a delicate Mornay sauce (10 euros), grilled tuna with a yogurt sauce (20 euros) and a roasted suckling pig with sugar-coated figs and blanched French beans (18 euros).

The room is wonderful. High ceiling, loft bed and beneath a beautifully made bathroom. A simple, a charming place of a very nice and friendly and open minded host (Eva, thank's for everything!). Vis-à-vis the apartment there is a bar called "Soul Kitchen", where they serve good wine and food. There are many bars around, it's a student area, quite vivd. We will definitely come back again!

The room is quite good and has a lot of light, nonetheless the street is quite noisy and even if you close the windows you can still hear it.

The cute and cozy apartment with an own amazing bathroom was located in a charming building in San Lorenzo, a very lively, refreshing and nice district.
Close to Roma Termini (about 15 min by walk) we were also very well connected with public transportation to the city center!!

There were some issues communicating with this host. Not the easiest ever, I must say.
Furthermore, we had some problems with the keys, since we scheduled it in one way, but then it didn't work out, because our host had to leave. Then we reschedule it and when she appeared more than one hour after the time we had agreed.
Finally, she wasn't the most comprehensive person and didn't even apologize for leaving us there waiting for her, which was sort of rude.
However, she was somewhat nice on the last day (which didn't make up for the rest...)
