Apartment was basically great, but kitchen could have been better equipped - no corkscrew, wineglasses. Also it was not possible to regulate radiators in flat as controls did not work. As a result it was often over-heated.Philip reviewed 1 BEDROOM APT AT MIDTOWN EAST in Turtle Bay

We stayed there for 7 nights and were so pleased with the place. Looks exactly the same as the photos, clean and well maintained. Good size for a couple, great location, minutes from subway. Many restaurants and bars nearby, but the street is very quiet. We had great time and will love to stay again.Osnat reviewed "FLAT49" Recently Renovated Studio Apartment Midtown East NYC in Turtle Bay
The New York neighbourhood of Turtle Bay is a predominantly residential area of Manhattan. Occupying the area between Lexington Avenue and the East River, the area is also home to several recognisable landmarks and a vibrant atmosphere all of its own. Steeped in history, Turtle Bay is a great place in which to base your visit to the ‘Big Apple’, and a holiday apartment in Turtle Bay from 9flats will mean you can live right at the heart of this remarkable community.
Holiday Apartments in Turtle Bay Have Elegance and the Element of Seclusion
The iconic United Nations building dominates this well-maintained area of Manhattan, and the surrounding streets house a number of prominent consulate buildings. There are occasions when the arrival of important world leaders and dignitaries lead to road closures in the area, but that simply adds to the exciting ambience that surrounds this part of New York. The area is blessed with a series of Beaux Art apartments and striking brownstones; so much so that the area has a look all of its own. Although a relatively wealthy district, Turtle Bay is certainly not a prohibitively expensive area in which to live. Renting a holiday apartment in New York will allow you a little privacy – away from the millions of tourists who visit New York City every year.
Explore the Local Community with Holiday Accommodation in Turtle Bay
There is no doubting the community spirit that exists in Turtle Bay. Charming steakhouses and Italian restaurants line many of the streets, and although there are some lively bars on Lexington Avenue, the neighbourhood is one of Manhattan’s quietest. Basing your visit to New York in Turtle Bay will provide you with quick access to Midtown and most of the city’s main visitor attractions. The iconic Chrysler Building and Grand Central Station are among the district’s most recognisable structures, but neither detract from what is essentially a suburban district right at the heart of one of the world’s busiest cities. Sample local life for yourself by staying in holiday accommodation in Beekman booked through 9flats. Your very own New York crash pad will be located in a real neighbourhood, so you can see how the local New Yorkers live at close-quarters.
If you’ve ever been couchsurfing in Turtle Bay, you will know just how rewarding it can be. It gives you the opportunity to find affordable accommodation at the heart of local residential communities – something hotels simply can’t do. The service offered on the 9flats website is, in many ways, similar, yet it takes the principle of couchsurfing to the next level by giving you the opportunity to live in luxury – without the need to share your personal space with property owners or other travellers.
