Apartment was perfectly located and does the job. However it is a little run down and some things could certainly be improved. Living room sofa is in bad shape and one of the mattresses is very noisy. For the price and location it is fine specially cos we didn't spend much time there as we were out most of the time.Bernardo reviewed Times Square 3min and Jr. 1bed Room in Theater District
Nowhere in the great city of New York are the bright lights brighter than they are in the Theater District. This vast, towering city is replete with examples of glorious excess and glamour, and the Theater District has more than its fair share of breathtaking buildings, million-dollar apartments and diamond-clad celebrities. Located in the Midtown area of the city, this vibrant area of New York is so much more than a collection of theatres. An extensive regeneration programme has revamped surrounding neighbourhoods to such an extent that the entire area is now known as the city’s main entertainment zone. Of course, luxury hotels are in plentiful supply, but holiday apartments in Theater District give you a chance to avoid the millions of tourists that descend on the city every year. What’s more, they allow you to fully accept New York as your home – if only for a few days.
Holiday Apartments in Theater District Take Luxurious Living to a New Level
It will come as no surprise to most people that the centre of the Theater District is Broadway – often referred to by New Yorkers as ‘Great White Way’. Although this vibrant and exciting part of the city is packed with great things to do and see, simply taking a stroll along 7th Avenue, 42nd Street and on to Times Square is an experience all of its own. Everywhere you turn your senses will be overloaded by huge, neon signs, giant video screens and flashing lights. If you visit the city during the New Year celebrations, makes sure you are in Times Square when the clock strikes 12 for the New Year’s Eve ball drop. This part of New York is developing quickly, and outright opulence and decadence can be found on every street. There is no need to feel left out, however, as holiday apartments in New York are exquisitely furnished, and they include all of the modern appliances you would expect to find in a luxury New York apartment.
Holiday Accommodation in Theater District Allows You to Soak Up the Iconic New York Ambience
No visit to this part of New York should pass without taking a walk past the iconic ‘One Times Square’ building. Perhaps one of the city’s most iconic buildings, it had the honour of being the second tallest building in the world when it was opened in 1905. If you’re travelling with children, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum is well worth a visit. This gigantic aircraft carrier is permanently docked in the district, and visitors can explore a wide range of spacecraft, aeroplanes and an intriguing spy plane called Bluebird. Also in the area are a submarine capable of firing guided missiles and one of the world’s last remaining Concorde aircraft – which can be boarded by visitors. New York has a truly seductive and intimidating atmosphere that invigorates the senses, and the best way to experience it first-hand is by renting nearby holiday accommodation in Upperwestside. Most of the properties on the 9flats website are located in real neighbourhoods, and that is usually the best way of immersing yourself in city’s culture and customs.
Couchsurfing in Theater District has grown very popular in recent years, as it gives people the chance to live side-by-side with local people in their own communities. Booking accommodation through 9flats is similar, yet it allows you to rent an entire luxury home – without the need to share your private space with other tourists.
