We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, tidy and comfortably, the pictures above show, how lovely it is. The area is really quiet, supermarket and little restaurants are nearby. All spots of interest can easily be reached by bike, and it's much fun riding the bike in Den Haag. We would always come again!Hannes reviewed ECO DESIGN Appartment 100m2 + 2 bikes in Het Bezuidenhout

Excellent location in the international zone of the Hague between city center and beach, with both being at walking distance. We rented bikes at Du Nord in Scheveningen and enjoyed especially the bike rides along the coast.Clara reviewed Comfort in stylish townhouse in Statenkwartier
Den Haag, or ‘The Hague’ in English is the seat of the Dutch government and it parliament but, curiously, it is not the Dutch capital. While not as edgy as Amsterdam, Den Haag is an extremely cosmopolitan city which looks after its residents with a selection of fine parks, important museums, great restaurants and a surprisingly lively nightlife. Den Haag is a great place to experience a different side of Holland and a holiday apartment in Den Haag from 9flats is the ideal base to explore the city. Your holiday apartment in Den Haag places you amongst that local population, allowing you to see the city from their point of view and perhaps even gleaning some tips from your local hosts. If you have considered couchsurfing in Den Haag, your holiday accommodation in Den Haag from 9flats provides a similarly authentic experience but with the comfort and privacy of your own room or apartment.
Exploring from your holiday apartment in Den Haag
Den Haag of course is well known throughout the world as a centre for international justice and is home to important bodies like the International Court of Justice. It also has many other legal and EU institutions, along with international embassies and multinational corporations. This gives the city a distinctly international flavour, while not being as touristy as Amsterdam. This is an affluent and conservative city, with impressive architecture and wide streets but there is also the seaside resort area of Scheveningen, with its long beach and pleasingly kitsch atmosphere. The government building of the Binnenhof is surprisingly picturesque and the large Indonesian population makes for some great ethnic food.
Choosing your accommodation in Den Haag
A holiday apartment in Scheveningen is a great choice if you want to combine the rather grand attractions of Den Haag with more lighthearted seaside fun. There is a long beach which is popular for all sorts of water sports, backed by an attractive esplanade and with an impressive pier. The working harbour is also a popular tourist area and the lighthouse provides an attractive landmark. There is a naturist section to the north of the beach. A holiday apartment in Spui meanwhile, will see you staying right in the centre of the city. Close to all the clubs, galleries and main shopping areas, you could not wish for a more central location. It is also convenient for the train station.
Moving on from Den Haag
It would be a shame to leave Holland without seeing its famous capital and a holiday apartment in Amsterdam could be your base as you explore a different side of Dutch culture. Here you can cruise the canals and visit the many famous museums and galleries by day before exploring Amsterdam’s famously liberal nightlife after dark. Moving on from Holland and a short hop across the North Sea will take you to England’s historical capital where a holiday apartment in London could provide the ideal base for your visit. At 9flats, we save you money while providing accommodation in the best locations, so book your flat in Den Haag now to experience it for yourself.
