57 Belsize Park is a traditional Victorian London house which is located 3 minutes walk from Swiss Cottage Tube Station - this means you can quickly reach London city centre. The location is just perfect.
The house consists of many little flats which all look like the one on the pictures. The flats are quite simple in decoration, but very clean and they have everything you need for self-catering.Jana reviewed Good Quality Double Private Studio in Swiss Cottage
Swiss Cottage is a London district just three miles north of Charing Cross. It’s odd name comes from an old tavern, the Swiss Tavern, built on the site of a toll house in 1804. It has since been renamed Swiss Cottage. This is a bustling residential area, rather than a tourist district and is home to a settled local community. A holiday apartment in Swiss Cottage would be perfect for someone who wants to visit all of the sights but still come to know the local people themselves and their culture. Staying in your holiday apartment in Swiss Cottage, you will be living side by side with the locals and not isolated in a tourist hotel. This authentic travel experience provided by your holiday accommodation in Swiss Cottage is much like couchsurfing in Swiss Cottage but offers you a far greater degree of comfort and privacy in your own room or apartment.
Getting to know the area from your holiday accommodation in Swiss Cottage
Swiss Cottage is located in the middle of some of the most desirable residential areas in London. Hampstead and St. John’s Wood are adjacent and the area has lots of open space, such as Hampstead Heath, just to the north. There is good shopping along Finchley Road, a cinema, Hampstead Theatre and a recently renovated leisure centre with a gym, two swimming pools and a climbing wall. Camden, with its popular market is just to the southeast and London Zoo at Regent’s Park is nearby. Swiss Cottage has good tube links via the Swiss Cottage station on the Jubilee line.
Exploring London from your Swiss Cottage holiday accommodation
A short tube journey will take you into the centre of London in just a few minutes. Here, all the sights of the capital await. You can visit Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and ride the London Eye for some great views over the city. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge both have excellent museums and a picture in front of the guards at Buckingham Palace is a must. London’s theatre land around Shaftesbury Avenue is a great place to take in a show and the shopping around the capital is world class, with such famous areas as Regent Street, Carnaby Street, Bond Street and the retail expanse of Oxford Street.
Choosing alternative accommodation in London
