Information about Sorbonne

The Sorbonne area of Paris is located in the City’s Latin Quarter, and it takes its name from the famous university building of the same name. If you like to admire spectacular architecture, street art and typical French life, this area of the city holds much promise. The Sorbonne building was once the home of the University of Paris, but it now houses several different higher education establishments, including the Ecole Nationale des Chartes and the Paris-Sorbonne University. In total, 13 separate universities now share this hugely impressive building, which is a great example of typical, exuberant French architecture. This whole area of the city is replete with examples of French culture, and the best way to truly get a flavour of it is by staying in a holiday apartment in Sorbonne. Located in the heart of local neighbourhoods, most properties on the 9flats website allow you to live amongst the local people.

Holiday Apartments in Sorbonne are Comfortable and Luxurious

The Sorbonne area is part of the larger Latin district, and basing your stay there will give you access to some of the most exciting and hectic squares and streets in the entire city of Paris. The fauna-filled Place St. Andre des Arts is often a street where local artists showcase their latest creations, and a massive selection of trendy bistros and restaurants gives you ample opportunity to relax amongst the hustle and bustle. A short walk along St. Michel will take you right to the doors of the Cluny Museum. Located in the city’s ancient Roman baths, the museum is home to a staggering range of medieval artefacts and exhibits. Make sure you get to see the original heads that were taken from the Notre Dame Cathedral statues. With such a vibrant and extensive district to explore, there is every chance that the only thing you’ll want to do at the end of a busy day is to retreat to comfort and privacy. Renting a holiday apartment in Paris from 9flats gives you the opportunity to base your stay in your very own luxury residence for the duration of your stay.

Holiday Accommodation in Sorbonne in the Heart of a Fantastic Community

The Sorbonne area and the wider Latin Quarter are famous for their stunning architecture, museums and art galleries, but the area is also a great place to relax and unwind. Walking along St. Michel is an experience in itself, and you’ll get the opportunity to stop at countless cafes and bistros along the way. If you’re looking to escape the urban chaos, take a short walk to Luxembourg Gardens, where you’ll get the chance to relax with a picnic or simply watch the world go by amidst the beautiful surroundings of an inner-city park. Make sure you get the best experience possible the next time you visit Sorbonne by renting nearby holiday accommodation in Odeon. The 9flats website has properties that immerse you in local neighbourhoods – the best way to fully appreciate local customs and traditions.

Instead of couchsurfing in Sorbonne, make sure you book your accommodation through the 9flats website. The service delivered by 9flats is very similar to the couchsurfing phenomenon, but it also gives you the opportunity to enjoy luxurious living in your very own property.

This flat is in an ideal location very close to the Seine and main sights of Paris. Traditional oak beams and an authentic feel to the apartment, although bedrooms do not have windows so can get a little stuffy. The lift is very handy since on the fourth floor! Adequately equipped for a city centre apartment and would recommend for a short break.

Perfect location: in less than 10 minutes walk you're at Notre Dame (and we were traveling with 2 children!)

The appartment was clean and well furnised. Only issue: there are 2 roof-windows that cannot be obscured so you will be waken up by the sun light!

Top location ,this is the best thing what you can say.
The host is a company and so the description is a little bit to professionel. The appartment is a loft, wich is not mentioned or to be seen on the pictures , so there is only one single room with 4 beds and not two separate bedrooms. The bathroom ist extremley small, very low ceiling, even small ones can not stand in front of the basin. The appartment is clean, but it needs redecoration. Its well equipped, but again there are missing parts, brocken coffee pot , no teapot, on the other hand there are a lot of different pans and casserols.
In total it was a nice stay, easygoing check in and out ( we just left the keys). Good for a familiy with kids old enough for the winding stairs, or two couples wich are used to stay close to each other.
