О Paolo and Melina
We love travel. When we're out, we always prefer to stay in private homes (we're also Couchsurfing fans!). Bur we love our city too: It's quite impossible to know EVERYTHING about Rome, also if you have ever lived here, so we like so much to discover hidden places ... Last year we completely renovated an apartment near Coliseum and we started to rent it to the tourists, 'cause we like to know new people form all over the world. We wish our streets can cross each other soon :)! So....Arrivederci in Rome! Paolo & Melina MANZONI HOUSE ROME

Peter 3.0 06/04/2016Lag im Souterrain, nur ein paar Schritte von der nächsten Metro oder Straßenbahn entfernt.
Die Eingangstüren zum Grundstück, Haus und Wohnung waren wirklich gut einbruchgeschützt!

It's a great accomodation and really only a ten minutes walk away from the Colosseum. The area around the apartement is very safe and quiet. The apartement itself is very good and is well kept, not very large but certainly big enough for your stay. AC is powerfull and shower is great. The bed was very (!) squeaky though and felt a bit unstable. Everytime you turn over your partner will wake up because it is so squeaky and a bit wobbly, but beside that it is a place I would recommend.

Place is very beautiful, just like the picture. The place have a storage room for you to place luggage after. Checkout which is super nice. Internet is unstable, this is the only down side. But everything is as good as advertise.

Die Lage war sehr gut, vieles war schnell zu erreichen. Das Haus, in dem die Wohnung ist, ist gepflegt und gab einem das Gefühl, dort zu wohnen. Ein bisschen italienisches Leben hat man mitbekommen. Die Wohnung selbst bot alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt braucht und es war gemütlich, abends beim Wein dort zu sitzen.

schön eingerichtete Wohnung, das Klappsofa bietet halt nicht ganz das was ein richtiges Bett könnte. Die Lage inmitten von Rom ist superfantastisch und gut mit öV erreichbar.

The flat is very good located and fully equipped. You can find everything in walking distance.
Paolo was a great host from the very first mailing on. We enjoyed staying in the flat very much. -

The appartment is extremely well furnished with everything you may want and need: dishwasher, fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, an excellent bed and cover, a large TV screen, a laptop, DVD player and movies, a cell phone for emergency calls, pressing iron, large supply of china and silver ware etc, etc. The host even supplied several electric adapters (for visitors from remote countries!). There was coffee, tea, kleenex, a lot of information on Rome, and a number of little things that make life comfortable and which you cannot take for granted in a rented appartment.
It was cold in Rome in January ( Jan 14-21, 2013 ), probably colder than it usually gets there in winter. So it was just wonderful that heating up the appartment after a day's stroll took only a few minutes.
For us it was the ideal place to stay and I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good accomodation and still keep his independence.

L'appartamento è ubicato al centro di Roma, vicino al famoso simbolo della città eterna, il Colosseo, e a due passi dalla fermata metro Manzoni dalla quale è possibile raggiungere molte zone della città.
L'appartamento si presenta moderno, spazioso, elegante, con prevalenza di colori chiari e dettagli vivaci e caratteristici, che lo rendono particolare e divertente. La sensazione è che tutto sia presente al proprio posto, in modo da massimizzare la vivibilità. Inoltre, l'appartamento si presenta ben pulito, e dotato di apparecchiature moderne che ne migliorano la qualità e il confort. Vi sono: aria condizionata, wi-fi, riscaldamento autonomo e centralizzato ed altro ancora.
Infine, nonostante l'appartamento sia semi-interrato la luminosità è elevata.

L'appartamento si trova in una via tranquilla e nei pressi di molti siti storici come il Colosseo, la Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano e la Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. E' ben raggiungibile:si trova a due fermate dalla stazione Termini.
Ha una bella cucina, completa di ogni accessorio, posta in una grande stanza con due divani letto e un tavolo.
La camera matrimoniale immersa nel verde delle mura, il bagno con il mosaico e la vasca, insieme allo stile semplice ma ricercato della casa, contribuiscono a rendere l'atmosfera davvero rilassante.
Molto luminoso e pulito. -

The apartment, located in a quiet residential area, is perfect: spacious, comfortable, fully equipped and well situated (15 minutes walk from the Coliseum and 100 meters from a stop of the Metro line A, which leads to the nearbyTermini station, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna and Vatican).

We never actually met the hosts but we met a friend who gave us the keys and did her best to explain everything there is to know. We had good contacts via email so we can certainly say the contact was good and helpfull.

The owner is have been very nice to me, give a very detail walk through of the city. Map is very helpful and. I have an issue on the luggage with the airport and the owner did extra step to resolve my problem, it make my trip a lot better, many thanks to him.

Er meldete sich immer sofort und antwortete gleich. Er bot Transfer und Ausflüge an und organisierte alles. Alles klappte bestens.

Paolo a adapté l'heure d'arrivée pour nous, et nous a donné pleins de bonnes adresses.
Il a également organisé notre retour en taxi vers l'aéroport (avec gestion des bagages pendant l'après-midi).
Encore merci Paolo, le taxi était super, une vraie limousine ! ;o) -

Paolo ist ein sehr unkomplizierter und zuvorkommender Römer, er hat uns mit vielen Informationen eingedeckt und hat auch Tips für öV und gute Restaurants. Leider mussten wir noch 30 Euro zusätzlich für Reinigung bezahlen, das war so nicht im Vertrag.

I did not meet Paolo & Melina in person because they were on holiday by themselves but everything was very well organzied and reliable. The "substitute" Francesca was very nice!

Paolo was the ideal host. He welcomed us warmly, took all the time to explain the appartment and the utilities. He gave us a lot of information on Rome, where to go, how to move around and where to dine. He organized our transfer from and to the airport, and everything was to our perfect satisfaction. I can only speak highly of the way he treated and communicated with us.

Giampaolo è molto tranquillo e ospitale. E' attento alle esigenze dei suoi ospiti e lascia sempre nell'appartamento consigli su dove andare a cena e cosa visitare.
Mette a disposizione nell'appartamento un telefono (per eventuali necessità) e un computer. -

Paolo is a great host. The check-in was perfect: he helped us with luggage, showed us around the apartment and advised us what places to see in Rome (he gave us a street map of Rome with many handmade signs and booklets on various locations tourism, cultural events...). He is also very helpful and is available for everything you need.
