I can't find the words to say how perfect this houseboat was. I spent a LOT of time researching accommodation in Amsterdam, and it payed off. This boat and the hosts exceeded our expectations. Our plane was late in, but Bea was still waiting with the boat all warm and toasty and some special treats for us. The location of this boat is perfect, right near some great restaurants and night life and close to the center of the city. The central location allowed us to go explore the city and be close enough that we could quickly get back to the boat for lunch, cup of tea or a rest. Even though it's very central we had no problem with noise at night.
It is warm, bright, clean and modern. It had everything we could possibly want for, we didn't want to leave! We loved sitting at the table or out on the balcony and watching the boats go by. We will be back!

We encountered two major (and very unpleasant), glitches. These were not malicious or intentional, but contributed to very serious consequences for us.
1. Missing directions (which were never provided despite our email request on June 27). When host failed to send directions, I google searched and noted the location would be problematic. We found upon arrival, that these directions (because the building location within the complex was difficult to navigate), left us near, but with no help to find our final destination.
2. Host's attitude towards helping us find their apartment was both reprehensible and inhospitable. After arriving at the host’s complex we requested help from the host but his SMS replies were slow and unhelpful. After a 1-hour search, host informed us he had to leave for the World Cup final between Holland and Argentina. Rather than spend the short time necessary to help us gain entry, we were forced (with no alternatives or apologies), to endure a 3 hour delay. -

Bea and her team were fantastic. Communication was prompt and friendly. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived at the boat. We actually felt like we were staying at a friends place, we felt so welcome and at home. Thanks Bea and crew, you truly made our Amsterdam stay perfect!
