After living most of my life in inner city Melbourne, my partner Lorraine and I moved to Ballarat about 7 years ago. Ballarat is a large country town just over 1 hour from Melbourne with a population of around 100,000. We live in the town but have some land with 15 pet sheep a little way out of town. We have no children but do have 2 cats. I work in the government and Lorraine teaches piano from home whilst studying for her Doctorate in musicology. We are well travelled and this trip is a mix of holiday with a small amount of research study. We are not as relaxed as our cat in the photo but we are easy to get along with.

David and Lorraine were great guests. I really appreciated hosting them in Mannheim and would welcome them at anytime again.
