"Casa Seixal" is a beautiful summer cottage/holiday apartment situated in the lovely fishing village of Seixal which is located on theTejo side of Lisbon. The house is within easy reach of Lisbon Old Town, as well as the beach.
The big advantage is that you do not need a car to explore Lisbon. Just take the passenger ferry over the River Tejo and enjoy a memorable experience. The journey to the pulsating centre of Lisbon (Praca do Comércio) will take only 15 minutes from your location.
Or do you prefer a relaxing day on the beach? There is a great choice of different beaches within 20 to 45 minutes of your house. The decision of which to choose is yours!
Your cottage is around 90 m ²spread over three floors. The dining area along with the modern and fully equipped kitchen is on the ground floor. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and microwave.
A good selection of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided.
The living area is on the second floor. There is a family room, a study with a sofa which converts into a bed for extra guests and a guest bathroom with shower .The master bedroom is located on the 3rd floor along with the family bathroom which has a corner bath tub and shower. All towels and bed linen is provided.
The cottage is able to accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and one child. It is possible to reserve our nursery kit made up of a cot (with a good firm mattress), bed linen, potty, high-chair, sterilisation kit, bottle warmer, cleaning brush for baby bottles, baby dishes and cutlery. An assortment of toys including a rocking horse and see-saw are available, also a stair gate, so even with a small toddler you can enjoy a relaxing holiday.
Lisbon is also known as the white city, because of its unique, bright look. The light, the atmosphere and the climate offer the best conditions for wonderful walks through different areas. Its beauty is not limited to monuments, but you will also feel how alive the city is.
Lisbon stays never still. During 365 days of the year something is always taking place: Cultural events, fairs, celebrations and festivals. However, it is the nightlife which opens the doors to parties and sociability. The young people are the principal characters of the Lisbon nightlife which traditionally lasts until the early hours of the morning.
If you take a walk through the town in autumn or in winter you can smell and taste the roasted chestnuts, which are sold in the streets and are an essential part of the everyday of life of the city at this time of the year.
On the culinary side you will find a great selection of regional and international specialities. Small restaurants or “Taska” are very popular with locals as well as tourists. You can enjoy good homemade food at low prices .In particular they have a delicious selection of "Cozidos" (hot stews). They are found especially in the Bairro Alto area.
Many restaurants are closed on Sunday but if you have a sweet tooth why not visit the Pastelarias (Coffee shop). The portions are huge and even hungry tourists are not able to finish one course, so the best is to share a dish by asking for “uma meia dose”.
Lunch is served from 11:30 to 15:00 hours and Dinner from 20:00 to 22:00 hours. The prices compare favourably with other European capitals. For a small snack there is also a selection of the usual fast food restaurants.
