A double bedroom suitable for 2 people in this large and beautifully furnished 2 bedroom basement apartment in the heart of Kensington, London's most high-end and sought after prime location to stay by the rich and famous. I have just undertaken a major renovation of the apartment which included replacing the carpet with wood flooring in the living room and hallway. The apartment has its own private entrance and is located midway in-between High Street Kensington and Earls Court tube station and within 5 minutes walk either way. The bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe, black glass reading computer/study table, a 2-drawer bedside table, large wall mirror and a bookcase cabinet. The apartment has High Speed Wireless Wi-Fi Internet and is free to use.


The contemporary minimalist furnished modern living room is clean and spotless and boast luxurious top of the range Antonio Citterio designed Vitra Area sofas, a 42 inch LCD TV with freeview box and large enough to accommodate a large dinning area with dinning table and chairs.


The kitchen is fully equipped with newly fitted modern kitchen cabinets, an electric cooker, electric kettle, blender, fridge, washing machine. microwave and cookeries.


The Kensington area itself where the apartment is located fantastic and is the high-brow area of London where all important people live and where you can experience the real Kensington lifestyle. The apartment is just across the road from the world famous Cromwell Hospital on Cromwell Road where all the famous people come for their nip and tuck. Chances are you will spot one or 2 favorite movie or tv star during your stay. The 5 star Marriot Hotel just 1 minute walk away from the apartment on Cromwell Road play host to most of the premiership clubs when they play Chelsea Football club at home.


The apartment is 4 minutes walk away from the very popular and busy Earls Court Metro Station and its popular mix of fresh vegetable fruit stores, assorted restaurant and cuisines. For those who prefer the "grab and run" approach, there is McDonalds Restaurant, KFC, Nandos Restaurant, Pizza Hut, local Indian Tandoori Curry Restaurants, Thai Restaurants and Chinese Restaurants all within a few second of the Tube station. On the Warwick Road entrance to the Metro station is the world famous Earls Court Exhibition Centre which host some of the world famous events including the Brit Awards from 2000 to 2010 and was used as a venue for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Earls Court Metro Station is served by 2 underground lines (District lines and the Piccadilly lines) with the Piccadilly line running directly from Heathrow Airport terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 and takes around 20 to 25 minutes.


High Street Kensington and its Metro Station is just 7 minutes walk away from the apartment. On High Street Kensington you will find all the various fashion brands and eclectic boutiques to satisfy all taste. To the north end of the High Street is the world famous Olympia Exhibition and Conference Centre built in the 19th century and to the south is the Royal Albert Hall which is a famous concert hall that host many popular event including the annual BBC Proms concert each year. As well as classical concerts, you can also see rock and pop gigs, ballet, opera and even tennis here! Next door to the Royal Albert Hall is the Royal College of Art, a postgraduate art and design college, which holds regular exhibitions. Look out for up-and-coming artists and designers at the annual graduate shows.


Knightsbridge, and its world famous department store Harrods, the new McLaren F1 Team showroom for its street cars and the many high end designers stores is 3 stops and just 5 minutes tube ride away from Earls Court tube station on the Piccadilly line or 10 minutes bus ride away (Bus No 74) from the corner of Cromwell Road less than 1 minute walk from the apartment where you will be well advised not to max-out your credit cards. A further 5 minutes ride on the Piccadilly from Knightsbridge and you are in Central London's Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square or Convent Garden. Guest interested in more shopping can also take the bus number 74 directly from the apartment to Oxford Street in 15 minutes and shop till they drop on Old Bond/New Bond Street fashion boulevard in the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Armani, Versace, Paul Smith, Ralp Lauren, Burberry to name but a few. If outdoor shopping doesn't do it for you, then try Europe's biggest indoor new shopping mall Westfield which is again 10 minutes bus ride away (Bus No. C1) in Shepherd's Bush. In Westfields shopping mall you can shop to your heart's desire.


If a bit of culture is your thing then the apartment is located within walking distance away from South Ken, as it is often referred to and is a great place to while away a whole day. As well as three of London's biggest and best museums, there's plenty of other things to do that are sure to entertain and amuse you. South Kensington is home to a cluster of free museums, making it the perfect destination for your outing.

At the Victoria and Albert Museum, you can see art and design from the past 3000 years, including ceramics, furniture, fashion, jewellery, photographs, sculpture, textiles and paintings.

The family-friendly Science Museum caters for kids of all ages. The interactive Garden area is specially designed for under fives, while the hands-on Launchpad gallery is perfect for teenagers.

Just next door you'll find London's Natural History Museum, where you can come face-to-face with a giant T-rex, and experience an earthquake in the Power Within zone.


If you need to wind down and just chill and read a book after all the excitements then there's plenty of green space in Kensington all within walking distance away from the apartment. The area's home to two of London's magnificent Royal Parks: Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.

When you're in Kensington Gardens, make sure you visit Kensington Palace, the current London residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. It is also where both Queen Victoria and Diana, Princess of Wales lived. Explore the State Apartments, see Queen Victoria's bedroom, look around temporary exhibitions, stroll around the landscaped gardens and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in the Orangery.

Take a walk around Kensington's Royal Parks and you'll discover lots more attractions, including the Serpentine lake, the Albert Memorial, the Serpentine Gallery, and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground.
