The apartment has a communal terrace that overlooks the famous Piazza Matteotti.
The Piazza G. Matteotti is the heart of Greve and you can find restaurants and pizzerias, shops and attractions.
Since the Middle Ages the story of Greve is linked to its main square, as the village began as a simple dependence of the castle of Montefioralle. Due to its location, which places it at the crossroads of routes linking the Valdarno, the Greve valley and the road from Florence through the Chianti Hills, led in Siena, soon became the main market town of the area. Piazza Matteotti has the characteristic triangular shape and is largely surrounded by arcades, it is beautiful, especially in spring and summer so colorful and full of flowers. It 's wonderful walk, do some shopping in the shops and then stop to rest, enjoy a good glass of Chianti, eating al fresco, under those arcades. Also in this square overlook the Town Hall and the Church of Santa Croce and there is also a monument dedicated to the great navigator Giovanni da Verrazzano, who was born in a castle, a few km from Greve. Very nice is also the statue of the 'Black Rooster', the symbol of Chianti, located in Piazza della Resistance.
