The Main House accommodates 6 – 8 people in 3 rooms, or if the full house is rented (including Main House, Coach House, Honeymoon Loft and Family Loft) it can accommodate 12 – 15 people.

Located directly in-front of Tulbagh Country Guest House, and alongside Paddagang restaurant, The Victorian will enchant all who set eyes on her.

Accommodation is self-catering, although breakfast in the grand dining room of The Cape Dutch Quarter’s Manor House is readily available.

This extraordinary 200 year old gem has three large bedrooms (double, double twin) and one full bathroom as well as a large open plan lounge/dining room, kitchen and scullery.

Every room in the house is abundantly decorated with opulent European antiques and original artwork to create an old world Victorian charm which the property exudes, it has lots of character and makes for a very special stay.

For those who appreciate beautiful things, this delightful house will be sure to impress. Built in 1814 in the Cape Dutch style, the house was converted into its current Victorian appearance in 1880. The house received minor restoration after the earthquake of 1969 and is now in pristine condition with old Oregon pine floors and original wide yellowwood ceilings throughout.

LIVING ROOM
Designed with seating around the piano and flat screen TV, the comfortable over size sofas and Queen Ann Chairs make for a stylish night in doors while the mahogany dining room table which seats six, (can be extended to twelve) is perfect for formal entertaining.

VERANDA & OUTDOOR LIVING
The house offers a quiet covered front veranda on Church street where you can sit on benches and greet the tourists and visitors walking down the street. Alternately the back veranda off the kitchen has a table for eight with tranquil views down the garden to the pool and beyond.

GARDEN, POOL & LAPA
The large established garden is a private and tranquil paradise with enormous antique oak trees and curtains of foliage and colourful plantings. The large swimming pool and wonderful thatched lapa/boma with built in braai/BBQ alongside as well as a lawned areas include which are great for entertaining and keeping the whole family in holiday mode. The braai area ensures perfect self catering accommodation

KITCHEN & SCULLERY
The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for those seeking self-catering accommodation in Tulbagh and although small it is well designed and offers ample working place.

The kitchen features large double fridge and freezer, gas hob and oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. Full sets of guest crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans and standard kitchen equipment.

The convenient scullery alongside offers out-of-site storage, preparation and washing up facilities.
