Lovely "cortijo" (farmhouse) located just a few minutes from the beautiful village of Bienvenida (Badajoz), 100 km from Sevilla, 87km from Merida or 30km from Zafra. Sierra Morena is very close to this lovely holiday home.
The house consists of the main building, with 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, 2 living rooms, a covered porch with gazebo, a swimming pool, fireplaces, and of course all necessary utensils, kitchenware and bed linen.
Next to the farmhouse is another charming apartment which has one bedroom, a kitchen and a lounge. It is most welcoming and can be rented individually or to couples or groups of 4 people. Other agricultural facilities (still in use) are attached to the house, where you can find donkeys, chickens, goats, etc.
The Nuñez family, who have devoted their efforts to work in the countryside for long, have restored the rustic splendor of this farmhouse and given it the amenities that are required today for a comfortable and quiet stay. The house is decorated according to our times. Enjoy quiet and peaceful holidays in a natural environment.
Make the most of your holidays and enjoy its surroundings full of olive trees, oaks, vineyards, cereal farms, bushes, mushrooms or ponds or watch its local wildlife (turtles, hares, wild boars, deer, partridges, etc.). This farmhouse is very close to important gastronomic destinations, and this is why its is ideal for day trips. Visit the beautiful town of Zafra, with its noble historical centre, or other important tourist towns and sites such as Monesterio, Calera de Leon, Cabeza la Vaca, Llerena, the Monastery of Tentudia, the Roman theater of Reina, the Jayona mine, etc.
The historical "Via de la Plata" route to St James' Way is just 10 km from the house. If you do not know Extremadura, this is a perfect opportunity to visit Sierra Morena, with its natural wildlife and flora. The beautiful village of Bienvenida is nearby. It is a typical white village, characterized by its welcoming and cheerful people and today it is part of the European Charter of Rural Communities, representing Spain and taking part in multiple meetings at an European levl to promote rural policies and cultures. Do not leave before visiting the taurine museum, which is included in the Extremadura-Andalusian route of "Dehesa del Toro".
