Trastevere is a very lively and noisy place. This apartment is right in the middle, but it is on a side street containing only one restaurant, so it is actually fairly quiet. There is also double-glazing to keep out the noise (if you don't need the fresh air at night). It was quite hot in August/September, no Air-Con, just a fan. There is no wi-fi but there is free wi-fi in all the nearby coffee-shops, bars and restaurants. There is a good bedroom and a bathroom with great shower, and a washing machine. The kitchen has 4 gas rings, a fridge, and a microwave oven. The kitchen seemed new, though we only used it to make tea ! Everything we needed was provided. A very handy base to explore this part of Rome, and less than half an hour walk from the Spanish Steps or the Colosseum. Betsy let us in to the apartment, and we just left the keys on the table 32 days later. We were very happy to be left completely alone to enjoy our visit. Highly recommended.

The apartment was well located and close to nearby sights, bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay but didn't realise that bin collections took place just below our windows every morning around 9 am with huge noise of bottles dropping and smashing in to the lorry. Also one morning around 4.30 am we were awoken by the sound of a bin collection of general refuse immediately below - not good !!!! Apart from that we had a good time but future cccupants will probably have to endure the same noise....
