This is the original description by the host

A secluded ethnic hideaway in a natural setting with magnificent views of the White Mountains only 15km outside of Chania and 5mins away from the beach by car.
See our other listings for the possibility of renting the whole house.

The two-storey house has been designed by a Moroccan architect in traditional style. Nearly all the materials, furnishings and decorative items are from the North African country, giving the residence a distinctly ethnic feel. This is not surprising, since the owner is a collector and dealer in primitive art from Africa and Asia. Each room has its own unique decoration. The property can be rented either as a whole or just the upper floor.
The master bedroom of the top floor suite of the house is spacious and comfortable, and guests may enjoy their own private bathroom and balcony with magnificent views of the White Mountains. Down the hall there is a second room with a small kitchenette, together with a single bed for a 3rd guest, with its own private bathroom. The third bedroom with double bed again with it's own bathroom and outdoor balcony. The top floor suite also enjoys access to the shaded patio and the verdant garden.
A local Cretan Diet designed just for you and prepared by a local village home cook can be arranged if desired.
There is a small village just 1km away from the house, where you can find a supermarket and some local taverns. The beach is just 2km away by car.
This secluded hideaway stands in a pristine, natural setting just outside the picturesque village of Palio Gerani in northwest Crete. The location makes it an ideal choice for those wishing to get away from it all, while having the option of visiting the historic coastal city of Chania with its many attractions just a short drive away, or exploring other parts of this fascinating region. The property is set off the main road, amidst lush gardens planted with orange and olive trees, but also more exotic banana trees and mango plants straight from India and Africa. Stretching for 2.5 km., a nearby sandy beach offers water sports and a contrasting alternative to the countryside peace and quiet of the property.
Getting there
It is highly recommended to have a car, as the closest public bus stop is 2km away. The house has a big parking area. The last leg of the route to the house for a short distance is a remote village dirt road, which is frequented by cars on a daily basis, but nevertheless it is not paved and should be noted.
Pick-up from Chania airport is available upon request for an extra charge to be arranged with a local driver.
