Once upon a time a horse house, this cottage has been fully renewed to meet modern standards of comfort, still keeping its uniqueness intact.
Enjoy the outdoors, spread out in patios and over 1000 m2 of bushy land overlooking the sea.
Located in Paço de Arcos, a fishermen’s neighborhood, you just have to go outside and… there you are: the ocean is all yours!
Look to your left, and you see the majestic Tagus River ready to join the ocean. Four hundred years fortresses still stand on its margins and offer you an outstanding view of the coastline. Look right and there it is, an island with yet another defensive lighthouse fortress and the Atlantic as far as your sight can reach.
It is not by chance that a XVI century King of Portugal chose this place to build a small Palace (Paço dos Arcos) from which balcony he would see his caravel ships leave to India and the Far East, in an adventure to bring spices and sugar, exotic woods and jewelry, fabulous porcelains and fantastic histories from far distant worlds.
Nowadays, the area is known for its gastronomical offer that varies from typical family-owned restaurants to fancy places and trendy cuisine.
Several beaches are within walking distance, one of them just in front of the house.
If you prefer long walks, then several itineraries are proposed upon arrival. Your choice!
