Myrtleford is the undiscovered gem of the Alpine Valley. Conveniently close to the bustling tourist destinations of Bright and Beechworth, yet totally serene and unspoiled.
About the region:
In the temperate months this region is made for cycling, with a long winding rail trail stretching all the way from Beechworth, and at least five fantastic wineries within cycling distance.
In the winter it is the perfect base camp for a day trip to the neighboring ski resort Mount Hotham.
The Ovens River winds through this region and opens up in lovely spots right in the town. You could easily spend a day here, swimming, wading and fishing in the crystal clear mountain water.
Lake Buffalo is five minutes outside of Myrtleford. Load up the car, bring the family, and spend the day water skiing, jet skiing, or just basking on the banks.
The house is circled by a classic Australian veranda and shaded by a magnificent old Lynden tree.
It is right in the centre of the town only metres from shops, local pubs and restaurants.
Rothery House has been perfectly restored with great attention to historic detail, with a few thoughtful modern upgrades to give you all the comfort of home, and more.
