If you're looking for the most sought-after location in Lisbon, you just found your apartment!
Fully equipped for short or longer stays, it's the perfect starting point to explore Lisbon. And as a bonus you get your own private garden– bliss!

The Space

The apartment is on the first floor of a charming and renovated traditional tiled building, and is sun facing throughout most of the day. It is elegantly decorated, fully furnished and equipped with all the mod-cons, and also benefits from a wonderful private rear garden where you can enjoy the sun and al fresco meals.
The street is bang on central yet extremely quiet during the day and night.
The apartment accommodates in total 4 people in 2 double bedrooms. There is also bright and airy lounge with an extremely comfortable sofa.

Principe Real is a historic area of Lisbon, and one of its most cosmopolitan neighborhoods - the nearby garden square features traditional terraces that are perfect for a drink in the sun and hosts Saturday morning flea / organic food markets.

From here you can walk 5 minutes to the famous Bairro Alto neighborhood and 10 minutes to the Chiado and Baixa areas. At the top of the street you'll also find the Botanical Garden of Lisbon, as well as antiques, clothing and design shops.

Guest Access

You will be able to enjoy the whole apartment exclusively throughout your stay, as well as your own private balcony and garden area.

Interaction with Guests

We will always endeavor to reply quickly to all your questions and comments. Once you confirm your reservation, we will be in contact to prepare for your arrival and either myself or my business partner Gloria will be waiting at the apartment to welcome you at the time we agree in advance. At the time, we will show you around, hand over the keys and help with any queries you may have.
Throughout your stay, we will also be available should you have any further queries or require assistance - we are here to help you make the most of your stay!

The Neighbourhood

The neighborhood is full of resources to fulfill all your daily needs- a few blocks from the apartment there is a full supermarket and a pharmacy, as well as a variety of banks, and even a collection of museums, including the Natural History Museum, Museum of Sao Roque and the Museum of Chiado. You cannot pick a better apartment for spending your vacation in Europe's hippest city!

Rua da Quintinha is the name of the street where this apartment is located in Príncipe Real district. This is a very quiet street, in a historical residential area, yet a few steps away you will find a district full of life, supermarkets, tree shaded cafés, authentic restaurants and shops, especially around the Praça das Flores, a romantic, cozy leafy square garden. This peaceful spot frequented and lived by Lisbon locals! Principe Real has always attracted artists, intellectuals and politicians (The Parliament is a few meters away. On arrival a map with the major facilities around the area will be at your disposal in the apartment.

Right in front of the apartment stands the São Bento Palace. This palace in Rua de São Bento houses the Portuguese Parliament. Rua de São Bento is also well known for its antique shops and galleries and for the House-museum Amália, which was the home of the Fado Diva singer Amália Rodrigues.

Getting Around

From Rua da Quintinha you are a few minutes walking from two of the most picturesque bairros (quarters in Portuguese) in Lisbon: Bairro Alto and Bica. The traditional but trendy Bairro Alto has a renowned lively and vibrant nightlife, and Bica with the Bica funicular and the Santa Catarina Belvedere as its main attractions, is a quarter where you can feel the calmness of daily life of local citizens, as if you were in a little village. The sophisticated and glamorous Chiado district in the city center is also quite near, about 10/15 minutes walking distance.

The Tagus river waterfront is also a few minutes walking. The broad Avenida Dom Carlos I, leads down towards the river Tagus, the neighborhood of Santos, and Avenida 24 de Julho both known for being very lively at night with many bars and clubs. Crossing the rail line you will find yourself next to the river and here you can enjoy a promenade or one of the esplanades having a drink while watching the river and the bridge.

The area is also well served with public transportation. Two metro stations from two different lines are about 15 minutes walking – Baixa/Chiado station and Rato Station. Buses and trams are running every minute. Tram 28 is a very famous old tram which winds its way through the most picturesque parts of Lisbon, namely the Alfama and Castle area. In Santos, trains take you to out to popular attractions such as Belém, Estoril and Cascais and in Rossio trains take you to the fairy-tale city of Sintra.

Other Things to Note

We always try to make check-in and check-out hours as flexible as possible to accommodate guests' needs but if it is a change over day between guests (i.e. if there are guests leaving and checking-in on the same day) we do need to ensure we have enough time to get the place clean and ready so:
- check-in is indicatively set up for 2PM and
- check-out is set up for 11AM.

As such, upon confirm your reservation we will ask you to send us your flight/ travel details at your earliest convenience so that we can make all the arrangements accordingly. This will also help us track the flight's progress online and adapt as needed.
We would appreciate it if you could kindly let me know in advance whether you’re friends or a couple so that the flat’s arrangements can be made accordingly.

Also, since 2015 Portugal has more strictly enforced a long-standing law requiring anyone providing paid holiday accommodation to record the entry, exit, and identification details of all non-Portuguese nationals who use that accommodation. This law has been brought into force in Portugal and most other EU countries at some point since the gradual implementation of the 1990 Schengen Agreement that aims to stop human trafficking and other illegal practices. In this case, it is specifically Article 45 of the Schengen Agreement and the recent 'Alojamento Local' law in Portugal that has brought this rule into sharper focus.
The governing body that monitors the movement of foreigners is SEF ('Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras' or the Immigration and Borders Service), and it is mandatory to provide them the following fields for all guests:
- Full Name
- Nationality
- Date of Birth
- Place of Birth
- Document Type (passport, ID)

You can send these details to us in advance and to save time we will prepare the form for your review upon check-in, or we can fill-in the form together upon your arrival.
