The position of Dorsoduro Garden allows you to comfortably reach Piazzale Roma and the railway trains as well as assure you, with great simplicity and convenience, to reach the most famous sights of Venice. Not surprisingly, after San Marco, Dorsoduro district of Venice is an importan distric where the most important museums are concentrated: the main museum is the Accademia Gallery, founded by the painter Giambattista Piazzetta in 1750, and then moved there by Napoleon in 1807. Also significant are the Peggy Guggenheim Collection of modern and contemporary art at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni (a private residence home of the American patron) and the contemporary art museum Punta della Dogana - François Pinault Foundation, headed by the structure of Palazzo Grassi, opened in 2009.
In Dorsoduro there are also Ca' Rezzonico, the Museum of Eighteenth Century, Ca ' Dario, the Great School of the Carmine and Ca' Foscari University.
The most important churches are the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, Church of Gesuati and Church of San Nicolò dei Mendicoli.
