The charming room Casette is situated in the Secret Garden of the historic Villa d’Agostino in Ravello. .From every angle of the Secret Garden you will be able to enjoy the fascinating panorama of the Amalfi Coast and the sea. The landscape is actually considered one of the most beautiful in the world, and it has rendered Ravello famous worldwide as the city “suspended between the sky and the sea”.
The panorama which has fascinated musicians and poets also enchanted Richard Wagner, who took inspiration from the place to compose the immortal Opera ‘Parsifal’.
Ravello with its historical beauties, cultural and musical events (Ravello Festival) has attracted, and it still does, renowned characters as Greta Garbo, Jacqueline Kennedy, Hilary Clinton, among others.
Ravello is located 6 km (about 3.7 miles, 20 mn by car) from Amalfi, the beach and the sea, 300 meters (about 984 feet) above sea level.The Secret Garden is part of a house built attached to a rocky spur by the sea. It can be reached either by feet (10 mn walk from the center of Ravello, more or less 300 steps) or by car. In this case, you will be able to park it for free along the public road, not far from the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium.
From the main entrance of the Villa a short walkway with approximately 50 stairway steps cuts through the garden and leads you to the studio apartments located in two different areas of the Garden.
The two small and similar vacation apartments feature their own private area.
There is no kitchen, however both the apartments are equipped with a mini fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a coffee-maker, a TV and a hairdryer.
“Casette” is 18 square meters (548 square feet) and consists of a double bedroom with a king-size bed (160 cm/62 inches), simple and comfortable furnishing. From the room you will be able to enter in the large bathroom tiled with lucid hand-made majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower.
The lemon porch aside Casette is also provided with table and chairs facing a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Salerno and over the Amalfi Coast.
The rest of the Villa and garden is reserved for its proprietors who often live in the place and will be happy to be at your disposal with all their discretion whenever you need.
The owner is also happy to give cookery lessons in the local cuisine in English language.
It is Ideal for excellent destination for people who love music, gardens, art, and perfect base for hiking through trails that lead to low mountains or to the sea.
