Large, three-bedroom apartment in a converted historic building right in the heart of the old city. Fully fitted kitchen and spacious living room. Two bathrooms (one en-suite). Wifi. Secure parking space very close by. Views of cobbled streets, an ancient church and belfry also included!
Guests can therefore visit the city without needing to use their car, while still keeping it to hand for trips to the coast, sierras or neighbouring cities.
The flat has two bedrooms with two single beds each and a master bedroom with double bed and en suite bathroom. Six can therefore sleep in complete comfort in normal beds. An additional folding bed, perfectly comfortable and hardly used, is also available on request.
Access to the flat is via a beautiful private cloister - see photo - once part of a neighbouring convent.
The flat is very quiet in spite of its central location. Views from its windows include a neighbouring church on a cobbled street, a pedestrian square and an old belfry where storks nest!
The property was fully renovated recently - kitchen, bathrooms and so forth are all in excellent condition.
The kitchen is fully fitted and has a table and chairs for informal meals. There is a larger dining table in the sitting room.
A full central heating and air conditioning system provides comfort throughout the apartment - it can therefore be visited at any time of year.
While right in the historic centre, the property is very close to the main shopping streets and there is a large supermarket within ten minutes' walk. Bus and train stations are about a 15 minute walk or an inexpensive taxi ride away.
Jerez is famous for its wines and brandies and indeed a visit to one of the historic bodegas is a must - we have contacts and can help with this. We can also point you towards somewhere to experience live flamenco. Jerez is also well known for its unique breed of horses which are trained to "dance" in the weekly show in the city.
Equally important although not on many people's radar is just what an enjoyable city Jerez is to just hang out in and walk around, with its historic buildings and squares - many now pedestrianised - and bars and restaurants specialising in seafood and Iberian ham, paired ideally with a fino or oloroso!
Another plus is what a great base Jerez is for getting to know the surrounding area. Jerez is a sort of hub for the main roads in the Cadiz province, and beautiful towns like Arcos and El Puerto are within easy reach, as is the stunning Atlantic seaboard with its endless beaches right next to the famous umbrella-pine forests and Cape Trafalgar!
