This is a spacious private room in a unique, colorful Bernal Heights home with plenty of street parking! The room opens onto a magical, park-like garden with many terraces where guests can enjoy views of San Francisco, watch the birds, listen to the relaxing sounds of the "WaterContraptions" or just enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine.
This colorful spacious room has both a comfortable queen bed and a comfortable twin bed.
There are two shared bathrooms available to guests, each has a shower and one has a tub. The airy kitchen is fully equipped and available for use by guests.
There is also a nice outdoor living area/chill space just outside your room with a propane heater - a nice place to hang out in the evening.
The garden is also a perfect location for a wedding or a family gathering.
Bernal Heights is a lovely safe, quiet, sunny neighborhood, just south and above the vibrant Latino "Mission" neighborhood.
We are steps away from Bernal Hill Park - a great place for a walk, sunset viewing, star gazing and the best 360 degree view of San Francisco!
A fifteen minute walk will take you to Cortland Street, a lovely shopping street complete with healthy grocery market, unique gift store, yoga, massage, library and art galleries. There you will find a multitude of delicious eating establishments - Japanese, Nepalese, Peruvian, Italian, Mexican, California cuisine, excellent coffee shops and bakeries.
The Alemany Farmers Market on Saturdays and the flea market on Sundays are fun excursions, just a short hike away.
The convenient MUNI 67 bus line stops right across the street and will take you to the 24th Street BART station in five minutes. BART will take you downtown in minutes. MUNI buses connect here to all points in the city including Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf, AT&T Park, all museums and city attractions.
STREET PARKING IS REALLY EASY ON OUR STREET!
Ride Sharing platform “Lyft”
If you have a smart phone we suggest getting the app “Lyft". If you enter my code JEANNIE246941 you will receive a $20 credit towards your first ride. If you choose Lyft “Line” it is a shared ride and the $20 credit will probably cover the cost of the ride.

This lodging was purrfect for me. I enjoyed all the members of the household! Since this was first first booking, Jeannie was very informative for my future plans. I would visit her and Skate again and recommend them to anyone. J

Beim pier 39 ist man in 45min mit dem Bus. Der BART war uns etwas zu teuer aber ginge vermutlich schneller.
Ansonsten wirklich empfehlenswert. Gerne mal wieder.

A spacious and tastefully furnished house, with generous rooms and highly comfortable beds, located in a lovely neighborhood, which is definitely worth a more extensive walk. Since the bathroom is shared, you should always avoid occupying it for too long, needless to say that consideration of your housemates and cleaning up behind yourself should be a matter of course, anyway :) I personally enjoyed the company of the lovely, affectionate cats, if you don’t like pets in your bedroom, make sure you always keep your room door closed :) Special mention should also be made of the magnificent backyard with all its lovingly decorated terraces and chill out areas to hang out and enjoy the breathtaking view on San Francisco.
The location is not entirely central, but still within easy reach from the airport thanks to favorable public transport connections and a bus stop literally across the street. Depending on your destination, it takes a 30-45 minute ride into the city by bus and BART.

Both, Jeannie and Skate were very nice, open minded and they had some good ideas about things to do in SF.
For our next stay in SF we would ask for accomodation again...

Staying with Jeannie and Skate made my SF trip an enriching experience, two open-minded, accommodating people, who spared no effort to make me feel at home and thus enable me a pleasant stay! Moreover, they turned out to be really helpful insiders who know the city inside out and didn’t hold back with useful tips how to make best use of my limited time and get to know the city in all its magnitude! I recommend them without reservation!
