Amsterdam Short Stay! Free Parking

Apartment, Private room - Amsterdam, Netherlands

ID 103839

This large private 23m2 studio is located in a quite part of town very close to where everything is happening. The only thing you share is the clean bathroom with one other person. It is a corner apartment one the first floor with a lot of windows (very light), a small kitchen and a shared bathroom with one other room. The apartment includes free parking and is a 10 min walk to a free 2 min ferry. Thus in 12 min you will be located at Central station (the HEART of Amsterdam). It is as well located near a big grocery store, which is very liked by the Dutch. From Cental staion you can walk to all the main shopping streets (Kalverstraat, Haarlemmerdijk and the Jordaan). And trams and busses can be taken to go anywhere else in town. But the easiest and most fun way to get around Amsterdam is by bike. I can help you with bike rentals as well and scenic biking routes.

Amsterdam North is up and coming with the new Eye Film Museum and lots of nice modern restaurants: Wilhelmina-Dok, Modern and Jacques Jour, Hotel de Goudfazant (it really is a restaurant and not a hotel ;).
It is also a great place to start walks or bike routes to the lovely dikes in Amsterdam North and Waterland.

The studio includes a large comfy sofa and cushions, side table, large closet with hangers to sit on as well a kitchen including all the amenities.

BIKING: There are bicycling lanes throughout the city and a lot of them are not located on the road, which makes it safer. To bike to Central station from the apartment is only 5 min (+the 2 min ferry).

It was a really nice, cozy appartment with a lovely but small room. The walls are hanged with memorabilia, pictures and shelfes full of books, there is a big fish tank and it is ground level, witch is also nice! The toilet walls were patterned with poster and stickers, someone could sit half an hour and wouldn't have read it all. Putting the pants back on in such a tiny toilet can be a hassle though. All in all is the appartment a bit small, but very comfortable! with the included bike you only need about 5 minutes to get to the train station or the city centre and 3 minutes to Westerpark. It is a bit of a quiet neighborhood, so you can enjoy the night in front of the appartment and not get stomped by tourists. Will definitely come back! Kind regards, Manuel

Daniel is a wonderful, thoughtful host. He has loads of information for his guests and seems to be able to help with requests for any information about touring in the Netherlands. He's knowlegable about the art scene, too. The flat was really comfortable and had everything I needed. I used the bike and it was just right for cycling around Amsterdam. It took me about 15 minutes to get to the center of the city on the bike -- when I didn't get lost. Amsterdam is confusing to me, but I don't have a good sense of direction either. Anyway -- Daniel's is a great place to stay in Amsterdam. There are good restaurants close by and Flevopark is a few meters away.
