Large 2 room apt near the Conservatory, St. Petersburg

This is a big, spacious two room apartment, about 75 m2. It is located in the historical centre of St. Petersburg on the picturesque Gribaedov Channel, with a direct view of the channel and bright sunny days from the living room (see the photos with the white bed sofa and the wooden table by the windows).
The apartment is located on the second floor, accessed by a stairway - no elevator. The house was built around 1900 and has a nice historical and classical feel to it. You get a key set to the apartment which give access to all the doors to and from the apartment.
In the bedroom there is a new medium soft and very comfortable IKEA bed, size 200 x 160 cm. In this room there is also a desk, a big closet and a keyboard controller, playable with a usb-cable and a music programme in your computer, such as Garage Band, Sibelius, Cubase, Logic and so forth.
In the living room there is a comfortable bed-sofa for two people, a table which can host 6-8 people. There is also a big closet here and a smaller desk. A TV for cosy rainy nights.
The kitchen has a micro wave oven, a normal oven, a freezer and a refrigerator, a mixer, a water cooker, a grill (if needed located in a closet now), a gas-oven and stove, lots of cupboard space and silverware, plates and glasses for 8 people +. The kitchen table is somewhat smaller and can take 4-6 maximum, but larger groups can eat in the living room.
The bathroom has a bathtub, a shower, a cupboard, a sink and a heated radiator system that dries towels quickly.
The ceilings in the apartment are tall, about 3 meters, which give a general spacious impression in the apartment. There are also lots of plants and decorative lamps in the apartment, not to mention the paintings of Russian Classics from the Ermitage and the Russian Museum decorating the walls.
The apartment is located in the historical centre of St. Petersburg, a five minute walk from the Marinsky Opera and the Conservatory. Furthermore a seven minute walk from Sennaya Ploschad (The Sennaya Square), where you quickly can catch the Metro to all locations in St. Petersburg – it’s a central hub through which most of the metro lines run in St. Petersburg. Sennaya Ploschad also has a lot of restaurants and shopping facilities, some of which are open 24 hours a day, which is convenient for the late shopper as well as the early walker…
A 20 minute walk takes you to the famous Ermitage art museum, Nevski Prospekt and the Russian Museum. On Nevsky Prospekt you can shop in many famous stores, such as Dom Knigi, which has one of the world’s largest collection of books of all kinds, most in Russian, nevertheless a good selection of dictionaries (Russian- English, Russian-French etc.) and language books in many languages for those who are interested. However, there are also short stories and classics in other languages as well.
There are also many restaurants, bars and occasional small shops along the Gribaedov Channel, so for a lazy night out
you will be fine without having to walk or travel far by taxi or metro.
There are many night clubs and bars in the area around the Gribaedov Channel and Nevsky Prospekt, within a walkeable distance (safe district) or with a cheap taxi trip of approximately 200-500 rubels (7-13€). You can’t go wrong – you will be living in the very heart of the city.
We provide pick up in our private taxi from the airport to the location for a cost of 40€ - just let us know when you do the booking and we’ll arrange the rest.
Furthermore, if you want a guided tour of the city: a city walk where you will see historical sites, such as the home of the famous Russian author Dostojevksij, Kasanskij Cathedral, the various channels, shopping, where the 1905 and the 1917 revolutions started – all in the heart of your historical St. Petersburg! The cost is 20€ per hour.
The minimum stay is 3 nights, but you can always ask us if we have a gap in our booking calendar for 1 or 2 nights.
