I went to Hamburg to participate at a stage school workshop. The S-Bahn station is right around the corner as well as a supermarket and a great Thai restaurant. People who like to take a walk can walk to the Sternschanze in I guess 20 minutes as well as to the Altona grand central station.Zoé reviewed Golden Altbau St.Pauli/Schanze in Hamburg-Altona
In the house you got your own room with everything you need in there. Even a little TV :) If its warm you can sit on the balcony pointing at the quiete side of the building.

Great place to stay in Hamburg! It was definitely noisy at times, but we enjoyed the lively feeling of the neeghborhood and the proximity to local hangouts. Well worth it. Angela was also very accommodating and helpful. Thanks!Nick reviewed gemütliches Apartment in Hamburg-Altona

Large and comfortable place located in liberal district of the city. You can get there anything what you need for a short stay. It was so nice to have meals in summer days on the balcony there. You can have lovely and peaceful view from the little balcony too (if you accept climbing the 4th floor).Slawomir reviewed Golden Altbau St.Pauli/Schanze in Hamburg-Altona
Hamburg-Altona has a rich and illustrious past that gives it a very cosmopolitan feel. Its location in the north of Germany made it a settlement of great strategic importance in the area – changing hands between Denmark and several of the old German states. This part of Hamburg is also home to an important harbor from which goods are exported all over the world. The pretty harbor area is now a popular residential area, as many of the old warehouses located there have been renovated into luxury houses and apartments. A unique combination of Nordic and Germanic cultures, the best way you can truly understand the area is to live among the locals, and a vacation rental in Altona-Hamburg booked through 9flats.com will allow you to do just that.

The so-called HafenCity can be found close to the old warehouse district, and it is currently Europe’s single largest city-based development project. Previously unused waste-ground is being transformed with the building of new commercial, residential and retail developments.
