My friend and I felt at home in Lennards apartment. We shared the small room which was fine since you're out and about all day anyway. At first we had to share one duvet but Lennard kindly gave us another one after we had asked. We shared the kitchen which was really nice and we felt really welcome.Janika reviewed FLYING, Free Parking! Cozy Room, Comfy Bed in Geuzenveld

The neighbourhood of Geuzenveld is a district of Amsterdam that is home to over 40,000 permanent inhabitants. The area is a relatively new development, but it is currently undergoing something of a transformation as part of a government scheme of urban renewal. New homes and community facilities are replacing old, run-down areas, so this part of Amsterdam could be a great place to base your visit to the Dutch capital. Renting a private holiday residence from 9flats will mean you can see this great city from a different perspective to that offered by hotels.
Comfortable and Well-Appointed Hotel Apartments in Geuzenfeld
The area is twinned with Slotermeer for the purposes of administration, and the combined district is known as one of the city’s Westelijke Tuinsteden – Western Garden Towns. These areas sprung up across Amsterdam after the Second World War, and they were designed to offer local people alternative accommodation away from the centre of major cities. Modern-day Geuzenveld is a vibrant, multicultural society that has several cultural influences from around the world. Although the original neighbourhood was built in the period immediately after the war, recent investment is changing the area beyond all recognition. Private holiday accommodation in Amsterdam from 9flats will provide you with a comfortable base from which to explore the area – with all the creature comforts you left behind at home.
Holiday Accommodation in Geuzenfeld at the Heart of the Residential Neighbourhood
Lake Sloterplas was a local water-course that originally dried up during the 17th century. It was excavated and filled during the 1950s development programme, and it is now one of Geuzenveld’s real hives of activity. As well as being the location for a great many water sports, the lake is also very popular with fishing enthusiasts. The area also has its own shopping centre and a thriving outdoor market that features a wide range of products from local traders – the perfect place to pick up a few bargain souvenirs. And if you’re interested in the relatively recent history of this neighbourhood, the Van Eesteren Museum is filled with exhibits charting the area’s recent transformation. As this is one of the Amsterdam’s most prominent residential areas, it should be no surprise that it has a real sense of community spirit. Renting a nearby holiday apartment in Jordaan will give you a unique perspective of local life, as you will be right at the heart of a real residential area.
Couchsurfing in Geuzenveld is a great way of living as part of local society. Booking your holiday accommodation with 9flats provides many of the same benefits as couchsurfing does. However, only 9flats can offer you the chance to live in complete luxury. What’s more, your own private vacation residence from 9flats will mean you can enjoy a little privacy – far removed from the tourist throngs that love this area of the Netherlands so much.
