Information about Genoa

The stunning port town of Genoa is the sixth largest city in Italy, and its 1.5 million residents make it one of the Mediterranean coast’s largest urban areas. Replete with stunning examples of art, history and architecture, Genoa is nicknamed La Superba (the superb one) due to its incredible array of world-renowned visitor attractions. Located in the north west of Italy, the wider region that includes Turin and Milan is considered by many as the industrial heartbeat of the country. The city is a major centre for tourism, and quality accommodation is at a premium during peak times of the year, but 9flats has an alternative to expensive hotel accommodation. Visitors now have the privacy and flexibility of staying in their own private apartment, and that often means living like the locals do.

Base Yourself in Holiday Apartments in Genoa

While Genoa has always been an important trading outlet for Italy, it was one of the country’s first cities to become truly industrialised, and it is still a major economic force in the area. However, it is Genoa’s incredibly rich and diverse history that attracts thousands of visitors every year. The stunning Piazza de Ferrari is one of the most popular areas in the city. A square surrounded by grand palaces and monuments, it is a great place to meet friends, enjoy a picnic or just watch the world go by. Located nearby are some of Genoa’s most prominent visitor attractions, including the Palazo Ducale, the Ligurian Academy of Fine Arts and the Theatre Carlo Felice. With so much to explore in this area, what better base from which to explore than a holiday apartment in Genoa from 9flats? You will be right at the heart of the action, and you’ll have a secluded retreat to recharge the batteries after a day spent sight-seeing.

Enjoy the Creature Comforts of Home with Vacation Homes in Genoa

Genoa was the European City of Culture in 2004, and that was because it is a city rich in cultural identity and centuries of history. The Via Garibaldi, for instance, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that simply has to be seen to be believed. The ancient cobbled street is filled with pretty boutiques, relaxing cafes and street-performers, and it is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The city’s Old Port is a fine example of Genoa’s trading history, as it is home to countless historic buildings, ancient warehouses and various trade-posts. So rich is Genoa’s history, visiting all of its incredible attractions can be extremely tiring, but holiday accommodation in Genoa gives people the comforts they enjoy at home – right in the heart of the city’s residential districts.
The 9flats website offers a similar service to so-called couchsurfing, but travellers get the added benefit of having an entire apartment to themselves. There is simply no better way to experience the genuine Genoa lifestyle than by staying in a privately owned property, so couchsurfing in Genoa is not your only affordable accommodation option. Staying in a well-appointed holiday apartment in Castelletto puts visitors right at the heart of the city’s historic quarter. Visitors who want to explore the cultural and shopping experiences that Genoa offers may wish to consider private lodgings in San Vincenzo. If you are planning a European trip this year, 9flats is your one-stop-shop for private accommodation. Whether you want a vacation apartment in Milan or a holiday flat in London, 9flats has accommodation options for most budgets.
