Ravi co-founded Ecomantra, a members by invitation only luxury experiential travel company in the year 2000 and has successfully facilitated over 40,000 travellers, 15000 students and more than 150 corporate, schools and colleges with their first experiential travel experience. He has acquired 13 years of experience and expertise in Bespoke Luxury Experiential Travel and Experiential Learning for Corporate which has successively driven Ecomantra’s knowledge intensive core activities and deliveries. He is the chief motivator and inspiration for the entire team of 100 plus at Ecomantra. He believes in the potential of experiential tourism rising to a new high, both in India and abroad. He is constantly involved in creating new projects, strategies and partnerships taking the company progressively forward in a positive way. Ravi has two degrees in textiles - Textile Technology and Textile Chemistry from ‘The Silk & Art Silk Mills Research Association’, Mumbai and was a practicing Textile & Apparel Consultant from 1994 to 2005. He is a serial entrepreneur and has created innovative companies including Design Origin PLC, which did consultancy in surface & textile design, and Weblogic Corporation, which developed saas based systems for hospitality and BFSI industry. He has a rich background in conservation in the past. He was part of the team instrumental in the notification of 3 new wildlife sanctuaries; Mhadei WLS & Netravali WLS in Goa, & very recently the Bhimgarh WLS in Karnataka He is spearheading the 'Mahadventure for Maharashtra Travel Alliance' (MMTA) along with the Mahacard Loyalty Card to promote Maharashtra to global experiential travellers.
